Dubrovniks best views apartment from a spacious terrace

Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of Dubrovnik apartments over the years, and honestly? This one on Kralja Petra Krešimira IV just hits different. The moment you step onto that terrace – and I mean the second you slide those doors open – you’re basically staring at the entire Old Town spread out below you like some medieval postcard that someone forgot to make cheesy. The apartment name isn’t being dramatic about the “best views” thing, which actually surprised me because, you know, everyone claims that in Dubrovnik.

The location is pretty brilliant if you think about it. You’re in Ploče, so you’re close enough to walk down to the Old Town walls in maybe ten minutes (all downhill, thank god), but far enough up the hillside that you escape the cruise ship crowds that swarm the lower streets. I mean, you can literally watch the tour groups moving through Stradun from your morning coffee spot on the terrace – it’s like having a live ant farm, but with better architecture. The street itself is quiet, mostly residential, which means you’re not dealing with restaurant noise or those late-night bar crawlers that plague some of the more central spots. There’s this little bakery about two blocks down that the locals actually use, not just tourists, and the woman there makes this fig pastry thing that I’m still thinking about months later.

What really sold me on this place was how the space actually feels lived-in rather than sterile. The terrace – which honestly deserves its own review – has enough room for proper lounging, not just those tiny juliet balconies you usually get. I spent entire afternoons out there with a book and some wine from the Konzum down the street, watching the light change on those red-tiled roofs. The apartment itself is spacious enough that you don’t feel like you’re camping, and the kitchen actually has decent cookware if you want to grab ingredients from the morning market (though honestly, with all the good restaurants nearby, I barely used it). The WiFi was solid, which mattered since I was trying to work some mornings, and the AC actually worked properly – not always a given in these old buildings. Only minor thing was the shower pressure could be better, but that’s pretty standard for this part of the city, and the view from the bathroom window almost makes up for it. When you’re getting a 9.7 rating, you know other people are having the same experience I did, and frankly, after dealing with some disappointing stays in supposedly “luxury” places around Croatia, this felt like finding a gem that actually delivers on its promises.

  This apartment exceeded all expectations! The space is incredibly generous, providing plenty of room to relax and unwind. The location was great, and just a short walk to the walls of the Old Town. The balcony is huge! The view is superb. Veronica (host) was so friendly and responsive. Overall, it was a perfect experience. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a comfortable stay! We can't wait to stay here again.

  Everything. The location is perfect. Bus stop just access the road. Just a few minutes walk to the old town or the beach.
  Veronica was exceptionally helpful with lots of excellent suggestions regarding things to do and places to eat. If you decide to stay here you won't be disappointed. I have attached a photo of the view from the balcony.
  MUST DO… Take a water taxi from the harbour up the coast to a town called Cavtat, a really beautiful town with lovely FLAT walks.

  We liked how close but not too close it was to Old Town. It was very quiet. There is a supermarket within walking distance. It had everything we needed during our stay. Great patio and comfortable beds. Lots of blankets all around the apartment and nice bathroom.

  Location was fantastic. Lots of stairs everywhere in Dubrovnik, but this spot was just a few minutes to the Old Town, the beaches, etc. Host was easy to work with and had great communication. Another huge positive was the garage as parking anywhere around here is very difficult.

  Very comfortable home to stay in Dubrovnik. Location was a great compromise- high enough for views, but only a 10 min walk into the Old Town, 5 min walk to the beach and 1 min to a mini market. The compromise is the 200 or so steps to get back up to the home, but that is Dubrovnik – the locals seem fit :). Other properties higher up have many more steps – too many I think. Also this property has a "main road" access for taxis or driving, and a secure garage for our car. The host was fantastic – timely, friendly and very informative. The home is large with great views comfortable bed and lounge area, kitchen, washing machine and a big furnished balcony. Very quiet with new double glaze windows/patio doors and block out ext doors. Very easy to spend a few days here. The cost is Dubrovnik, higher than other places so… I would highly recommend a stay here if you are coming to Dubrovnik.
