The apartment sits right in the heart of everything, which means you’re literally steps away from the main drag without dealing with the absolute chaos of Stradun at peak hours. I mean, you can still hear the tour groups during the day, but honestly? That’s just part of the Old Town experience. What I loved was how quickly it quieted down after sunset – well, except during peak summer when the whole city stays buzzing until late. The building itself has that weathered stone charm that makes you feel like you’re actually living in history, not just visiting it. And here’s something most people don’t realize until they’re hauling luggage up ancient steps – this place is accessible without wanting to collapse from exhaustion.

The apartment itself feels more spacious than you’d expect, especially considering Old Town real estate is basically worth its weight in gold. The owners clearly know what travelers actually need (decent WiFi, proper shower pressure, and – thank god – air conditioning that works). I particularly appreciated the little touches that showed someone who gets it was involved in setting this up. The kitchen’s actually functional if you want to grab fresh stuff from the morning market near the harbor, though honestly, with restaurants like Proto and Dubrovnik just around the corner, you might not cook much. What really sold me was the view situation – you’re not getting postcard-perfect sea views, but you do get these lovely glimpses of terracotta rooftops and medieval walls that feel authentically Dubrovnik. The 8.3 rating makes total sense to me because while it’s not trying to be the Excelsior or Villa Orsula, it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. You know what I mean? Sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable base that doesn’t eat your entire budget, especially when you’re spending most of your time exploring anyway. If you’re planning to visit during shoulder season – April through May or September through October – this place becomes an even better deal since you’ll have the Old Town mostly to yourselves.
