You know what surprised me about Flora? It’s actually tucked away on this quiet residential street – Oraška ulica – which honestly feels like you’ve discovered some local secret, even though you’re literally a five-minute walk from the beach. I mean, when you’re dealing with Dubrovnik’s summer crowds, having a peaceful retreat where you can actually hear yourself think is worth its weight in gold.

The apartment itself is one of those places that just works. Three proper bedrooms, so you’re not doing that awkward vacation shuffle where someone gets stuck on a pullout couch. The kitchen is well-stocked enough that you can actually cook (trust me, your wallet will thank you after a few €25 seafood dinners in the Old Town), and there’s this lovely little terrace where I found myself having morning coffee while planning the day. The owner clearly gets what travelers need – decent WiFi, proper shower pressure, and enough space to spread out your stuff without tripping over each other.

What really sells this place though is the location. You’re close enough to Banje Beach that you can pop back for a midday nap or to drop off your beach gear, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you won’t be dealing with cruise ship crowds wandering past your window at 7 AM. The walk into the Old Town takes maybe 15 minutes if you’re strolling, and you’ll pass this little bakery on the way that does incredible burek – I probably stopped there every morning. There’s also decent parking nearby, which, if you’ve ever tried to navigate Dubrovnik’s old streets with a rental car, you’ll know is basically a miracle. The whole area feels authentically Croatian rather than tourist-theme-park Croatian, if that makes sense. You’ll see locals walking their dogs, kids playing in the small parks, that sort of thing. It’s the kind of place where you can actually imagine living for a week rather than just surviving it.

  The apartment is very well situated, near the bus station, supermarket, a bar. The port and 2 beaches are close, 5-10 min walking distance. The host was really helpful.

  The apartment is located in a quiet area, although Dubrovnik is very agitated, not far from the beach and restaurants.
  Everything was clean, beds are confortable. Good air conditioning and wi-fi.
  The personel is very nice, and very helpful. The lady offered us a lot of accurate information.
  
  What could be improved: The parking space is only the public one. If you are lucky you can catch a free space, but most of the parking spaces are taxed: 15 eur/day.
  Although a 3 bedroom, the apart is quite narrow, there is not a lot of space.

  Great apartment for a family or a group of friends. 10 minutes walk to the beach. Restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Good kitchen, easy to cook.
  
  What could be improved: distance to the old town. Not so easy to get to the old town, taxi or public transport is needed. One bedroom does not have an airco.

  Clean, enough towels, blankets, smart TV, 10-20 min walk from some beaches and few restaurants to eat from. Glad the apartment had a washing machine as it definitely helps to have one when you have beach trips planned. Overall was not bad at all and for a short stay I would recommend as it was comfortable in terms of bedrooms and space.
  
  What could be improved: The upkeep of the apartment could have been better. Would like to see repairs on cupboard doors in the kitchen as they seem old and a tad wobbly.
  I was also not a fan of the two bathrooms being beside one another with a shared window to allow airflow. It definitely made the bathrooms a little invasive amongst guests you are staying with.
  I also think that the window shutters (not the windows themselves) need repairing as during the rain and windy times they kept flying open so they need to be looked at.
  I also did not like that after having nice interactions with the host via whatsapp during our stay and having the matter of shutters flying open resolved – that we were then met with an attempted complaint from the host/owner of the property regarding shutters. Take in mind no damage to the shutters were made, we were not provided with any rain guidance (which did get quite bad during our stay with some strong winds) and I felt it was a little invasive that we we were not told that the hosts uncle lived below the apartment. This is usually something that should he disclosed to guests upon booking and staying.
  Furthermore, when the host attempted to make a complaint (which they later admitted, was not needed to take further as no damage was found) – They had the audacity to mention our gods name, and mentioned karma, wishing bad upon us (felt racist).
  I am editing this review after the actions of the host and the way they have spoken with me. I ranked this a 7 previous to this. However, upon receiving this unnecessary treatment and rude actions from the host/owner I believe 4/10 is a fair ranking. I have never experienced this from a host before. I would definitely say before booking be mindul of this host/owner.
  I have attached my conversation with the host/owner to show how pleasant we were, and to show the matter of the shutters being resolved. I have also attached the messages myself and the host/owner had after our stay via booking.

  Great location, comfortable beds.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is a lot smaller than we thought. All photos were taken with a wide angel. There's no place to put big luggage bags in the bed rooms. We were two families with 7 people, a bit crowded. One of the toilet cannot lock and very tiny. The main bathroom is fine but the door is very noisy every time you open or lock it. Water glasses are so wary that it looks dirty but not possible to get it transparent anymore.
