You know what struck me first about Gallus Old Town? The location is absolutely killer – I mean, you’re literally on Žudioska ulica, which honestly most tourists never even find because it’s tucked away in this quieter pocket of Dubrovnik’s Old Town. When I say quiet, I don’t mean dead silent (you’re still in the heart of things), but you’ll actually sleep through the night without drunk cruise ship passengers stumbling past your window at 2 AM.
The apartment itself has this authentic Croatian feel that so many places try to fake. The stone walls aren’t just for show – they actually keep the place cool during those brutal summer afternoons when the Old Town turns into an oven. And here’s something nobody tells you: the lighting is actually good. I’ve stayed in way too many European apartments where you’re squinting to read anything after sunset, but whoever set this place up gets it. The kitchen’s properly equipped too, which matters if you’re planning to grab fresh stuff from the morning market at Gundulić Square (maybe a 3-minute walk, if that). Speaking of walking – everything’s walkable, but your feet will thank you that you’re not dragging luggage up and down Stradun every time you want to grab coffee.
What really sold me on this place was the 9.1 rating, and honestly? It’s earned. The check-in was smooth, the WiFi actually works (crucial for anyone trying to stay connected), and there’s this attention to detail that you don’t always get with vacation rentals. I mean, they’ve thought about storage space, decent shower pressure, and even blackout curtains that actually block light. The neighborhood vibe is perfect too – you’re close enough to pop over to Buža Bar for sunset drinks or hit up that little konoba on Prijeko Street, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you feel like you’re living in Dubrovnik, not just visiting it. During shoulder season especially, this area has this wonderful residential feel where you’ll see locals heading to work in the morning, kids playing in the small squares – it’s the real deal, just with better amenities than most locals probably have.

Exceptional Was in a fantastic location. I am a light sleeper and although other reviews mention noise at night this did not seem to be an issue for us at all. Would definitely recommend this apartment :-)
Exceptional Immaculately clean. Great communication with the owner. It's super quiet even though it is right in the middle of the old town. The washing machine is always a plus when travelling. Fantastic shower and an all round beautiful place to stay

Comfortable Apartment in Old Town Dubrovnik This is a clean, comfortable apartment in a great location for anyone who wants to be close to the action in the old town. It has a small, well fitted-out kitchen and the shower is excellent. Communication with Danka, the manager, was very good.
What could be improved: We would have liked more useful hanging space.

Loved it- perfect weekend getaway! Excellent location- within walking distance of everything! Great restaurants just outside the door (we loved Bakus Wine Bar). The apartment was clean, modern and comfortable. Air conditioning was an added bonus! Danka met us for checkin and had great tips about the city!
What could be improved: It was a little loud at night - to be expected when you are in the heart of the city.
