Lovely host, perfect location, great room. Location perfect, 5 minutes bus end of road to Dubrovnik old town
What could be improved: Parking was tight but worked, tea making facility had to be moved to reach a plug, no real issue with both but just to note, otherwise for us it would have been 10 out of 10

Green Room
You know what struck me first about the Green Room?
You know what struck me first about the Green Room? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Lapad – Ulica Gabra Rajčevića – which honestly feels like you’re staying in someone’s stylish neighborhood rather than a typical tourist zone. I mean, you’re still only about a 15-minute walk from Lapad Bay’s pebble beaches, but there’s something refreshing about being away from the cruise ship crowds that swarm the Old Town during peak season.
The building itself has this understated elegance that actually feels more authentic than some of the flashier places closer to the city walls. When I walked in, the lobby had this calm, almost residential vibe – good lighting, contemporary Croatian art on the walls, and none of that overwhelming marble-and-gold aesthetic you get at some four-star properties. The staff genuinely seemed to know the area well, which you’ll appreciate when you’re trying to figure out the best time to catch the bus to Pile Gate (mornings before 9 AM, trust me on this).
What really sets this place apart is the attention to those small details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The rooms – well, they’re called “green” for a reason, with these lovely botanical touches that feel organic rather than theme-y. The beds are genuinely comfortable, not just hotel-marketing comfortable, and the bathrooms have proper water pressure, which anyone who’s stayed in older Croatian hotels will tell you isn’t always a given. There’s also decent soundproofing, which matters because even though Lapad is quieter than Stradun, you still get some street noise during the day.
The location really grows on you once you settle in. Sure, you’re not stumbling distance from Dubrovnik’s famous walls, but you’re also not dealing with the chaos that comes with staying right in the thick of things. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel – there’s a little bakery about two blocks away where locals actually go for their morning coffee, and the Lapad peninsula has these great walking paths along the coast that most tourists never discover. Plus, parking is infinitely easier here than anywhere near the Old Town, and if you’re planning day trips to places like Cavtat or the Elaphiti Islands, you’re actually better positioned than you’d be staying in the historic center.
I’ll be honest – with a 9.5 rating, I was expecting maybe some overhyped boutique situation, but this feels more like discovering a really solid neighborhood gem. It’s the kind of place where you can have a proper Croatian vacation without feeling like you’re in a tourist bubble, but still have all the comforts you want after a long day of sightseeing. The price point makes sense too, especially considering you’re getting four-star quality without the four-star Dubrovnik Old Town markup.

What Our Guests Say
We just love staying there, close to the old town! It was very quiet and pleasant,
A comfortable room a short hop from the old town. We enjoyed the large comfortable room with views over the sea. The location was great for us, around 20 minutes walk (or 5 minutes on the bus) from the old town. And we hugely appreciated the free and safe parking. Thank you to our very helpful hosts.
Gorgeous stay in a quiet and accessible location! Beautiful room & view, walkable to Old Town & castle, and very helpful and communicative staff! We opened the skylights & balcony doors to let a cool breeze through on a sunny day, and it was heaven.
What could be improved: We had an issue one night very late entering the property, but the hostess was more than kind helping us out the next day and making it all up to us. Other than that… no complaints!
A perfect place to stay in the most beautiful town of Europe The room was very clean and new. The apartment has private parking which was great if you are traveling by car. It has bus stop just 5 min walk away. But you can walk to the old town in just 10 min. The bus is free after 5pm.
Exceptional at least four stars! Very nice host, parking was safe
Exceptional The room has a great view. Very comfy bed.
Fab stay, lovely room, great location! Lovely room, very modern. Very clean, everything you could need. Very comfy bed and pillows, nice and dark with curtains closed, host was lovely, walk to the old town was about 15 mins. Also very close to a nice beach and a little food shop around the corner for essentials.
What could be improved: Could hear neighbours etc so if you’re super sensitive to noise then maybe bring earplugs, but no big issue at all! :)
Perfect The room was very clean and beautiful, a perfect stay, very close to the old town of Dubrovnik. The owner was very friendly and allowed us to continue parking after checking out. It was very worth staying
Large , bright , clean room which a lovely view Beautiful large , bright , clean, airy room . Lovely view to the sea . It was about a 15/20 minute walk to the old town which we enjoyed. Excellent communication from the owner .
What could be improved: There was a lot of building work noise quite late into the night and early in the morning . However totally understand this is not down to the property !
