Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Dubrovnik, and Hedera Studio 4 is one of those finds that actually lives up to its photos – which, honestly, doesn’t happen as often as you’d think. The location on Hrvatskog crvenog križa is pretty brilliant because you’re close enough to walk into the Old Town (maybe 15 minutes if you don’t mind a bit of uphill), but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at midnight.

The studio itself has this clean, modern vibe that feels more like a friend’s well-designed apartment than a typical hotel room. What I really appreciated was the attention to small details – the lighting actually works for reading, the shower has proper water pressure (you know how hit-or-miss that can be in older Croatian buildings), and there’s enough counter space in the kitchenette to actually use it. The whole Hedera Estate complex feels well-maintained without being stuffy, and the staff genuinely seem to care about making your stay work rather than just going through the motions.

Here’s what sold me on the place: it’s in a neighborhood where you’ll see locals doing their daily shopping and kids playing in the streets, but you can still grab an Uber or taxi into the heart of things without breaking the bank. The nearby Konzum supermarket is a godsend for breakfast supplies, and there’s this little bakery about three blocks down that does incredible burek in the mornings. Parking was surprisingly manageable – I mean, it’s still Dubrovnik so don’t expect miracles, but the area isn’t the nightmare that staying right in Grad would be. The 8.6 rating makes sense to me because while it’s not luxury in the marble-and-champagne sense, it’s the kind of place where everything just works the way it should, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need after a long day of navigating cobblestones and tourist crowds.

  Great location – close to city center and you can go there by bus in 3-4 minutes and the bus station is 1 min to walk. The apartment is little, however, it is perfectly organized, modern, 100% equiped with everything. Highly recommended.
  
  What could be improved: There were no curtains but it did not create any problem for us. Also, take into consideration that the company takes 100 Euro breakage deposit payment.

  Excellent stay, located central to many transport links, walking distance to restaurants & the beach etc. Apartment was very clean & modern. Building also felt very secure!
  
  What could be improved: There was no blinds or curtains which was odd, so had to wake up with the sun.
  Have to check in at apartment offices- which was clear after booking, however makes it a bit further from bus station when it was a lockbox anyways, but staff did drive us to accommodation and were very helpful.

  Location is good with a shopping mall , restaurants, grocery store nearby. Bus station is right outside with lot of public bus to and from old town. Room is clean with necessary amenities. Private car parking at safe place is amazing.
  
  What could be improved: Room we had is a bit small for couple, not much room to sit together for a coffee.
  Entering by car is bit uncomfortable as we need to stop car at slope before gate, and have to go and get parking gate remote from key box.
  Garbage disposal is not within building.

  Garsoniera destul de incăpătoare, complet utilată, totul nou și foarte curat.Singurul dezavantaj : nu exista balcon. Locația excelenta, statia de autobuz la cca 50 m, centrul vechi la jumătate de oră de mers pe jos,plaja la fel. De recomandat cu încredere
