Well, this one actually delivered – and then some. The moment I walked in, I got that “oh, this is nice” feeling. The space is genuinely spacious, which is rare in this city where most accommodations feel like they’re carved out of medieval stone (because, well, they kind of are). Three proper bedrooms that don’t feel cramped, and the living area has these big windows that let in that gorgeous Croatian light. The owner clearly put thought into the details – I mean, there’s actually decent kitchen equipment, not just the usual sad collection of mismatched plates you usually get.

What really sold me on this place was the location. Ploce is one of those neighborhoods that locals know but tourists often miss – you’re literally a ten-minute walk from the Old Town madness, but you escape all that cruise ship chaos. I could walk to Banje Beach in the morning before it got crowded, grab coffee at that little place on Frana Supila (the one with the grumpy owner who makes incredible espresso), and still be back for a quiet afternoon on the apartment’s balcony. The building itself is solid – none of that paper-thin wall nonsense where you hear every conversation next door. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, which anyone who’s driven in Dubrovnik will tell you is basically a miracle. The host was refreshingly straightforward during check-in, no awkward small talk, just clear directions and useful tips about avoiding the tourist traps.

Here’s the thing about this apartment – it feels like someone’s actual home, not a sterile rental property. There are books on the shelves, decent art on the walls, and that lived-in comfort that makes you want to stay longer than planned. The 9.9 rating isn’t just inflated review nonsense; this place genuinely works. Sure, the shower could have slightly better water pressure, and the WiFi gets a bit spotty during summer evenings when everyone’s streaming, but honestly? Those are minor quibbles. If you’re the type who wants to experience Dubrovnik without feeling like you’re trapped in a tourist bubble, this is your spot. It’s particularly perfect during shoulder season when the city feels more authentic and less like a theme park – you can actually enjoy those morning walks along the city walls without fighting crowds for photos.

  Location was ideal. View from the balcony was spectacular. Apartment was clean and had everything we needed and more. Host Tonko welcomed us with a drink, made sure we knew how everything worked in the apartment, was very friendly, helpful and available. Would definitely recommend this apartment!

  The view from the apartment is astonishing! The apartment it's self is in a great location and is also modern and clean. Tonko, our host welcomed us and show to us the apartment. In the apartment you can find anything you need from cooker, dishwasher, fridge, smarttv, coffee, tea, even a traditional liqueur which Tonko will have for you on the table. One night Tonko's wife Tanya made a huge plate with pancakes for us and also offered us wine. Apartment was also very cozy and relax and just 5 minutes walk from the beach and 10 minutes walk from the city centre. Great choice for families and couples.

  The location and balcony view were perfect, the utensils in the kitchen and bathroom are sufficient and well arranged. Everything was designed and intentionally planned according to the guests' convenience. Tonko and Tanya were very nice, helpful and kind. They even brought us a pie and gave us presents. This vacation home should be preferred without hesitation. We never used any transportation to the beaches and to the city because it is walkable and there is no need. Excellent apartment and owner. Highly recommended
