You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from La Mia Apartment when I first walked up to Solinska 3 – it’s this quiet residential street that most tourists never find, tucked away from the main drag leading to Old Town. But honestly, that turned out to be exactly what made it special. The building itself is pretty typical for this part of Dubrovnik, nothing fancy, but the moment you step inside, there’s this immediately comfortable feeling that’s hard to describe. It’s like staying at a friend’s place rather than some sterile hotel room.

The apartment setup is genuinely well thought out – I mean, someone clearly lives here or has lived here, because all the little details actually make sense. The kitchen has proper coffee (not those awful instant packets), the bathroom has decent water pressure, and the beds are actually comfortable, which… let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in Croatian accommodations. What really got me was the location though. You’re maybe a 10-minute walk from Pile Gate, but you’re on this side street where you can actually hear yourself think. In the mornings, there’s this old guy who tends his little garden across the way – it’s those kinds of authentic neighborhood moments that you miss when you’re staying right in the tourist zone. The walk to the city walls takes you through some of the prettier residential areas, and you’ll pass this little bakery on the corner that opens ridiculously early and has the best burek I’ve had outside of Bosnia.

Here’s the thing about staying here – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but it gets all the important stuff right. The 8.1 rating makes perfect sense because there’s nothing dramatically wrong with it, and plenty that’s quietly right. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (welcome to Dubrovnik), but the host actually knows the neighborhood well enough to give you real advice, not just vague directions. I stayed here during shoulder season in late September, and the whole area felt peaceful in the evenings – you could sit by the window and actually relax after a day of fighting crowds on the Stradun. The air conditioning works properly, which is crucial if you’re visiting in summer, and the Wi-Fi is solid enough for video calls back home. It’s the kind of place where you settle in after the first night and start to feel like you’re living in Dubrovnik rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense.

  The host was very easy to communicate with and responsive to messages- provided photos to help locate the apartment. The apartment itself was a great size, clean and comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: It is a little bit out of the main town (~2kms), and if you want to walk from the old town it's uphill!- However, once you figure out the bus system, this was fine! No lift and the apartment is on the top floor.

  A very welcoming and well communicating host. The apartment on the 4th floor of a building is modern with a TV, air conditioning, and a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, electric/gas stoves. Parking is available in a nearby parking space. The apartment had plenty of food provisions. Located 5 minutes from the nearest bus station and is a 5 minute bus ride away from the old city center.
  
  What could be improved: When we arrived, there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher.

  For property of this price range in Dubrovnik – nothing major stands out, sheets and towels were clean, kitchen was stocked. In the end we used it to shower, watch some TV and then sleep.
  
  What could be improved: AC could use servicing to blow just a bit colder and various handy-man silly things, but no dealbreakers.

  Theoretically it is not bad. The apartment is clean, big enough, the kitchen well equipped and the bed comfortable. There is a huge television in the leaving room and a lot of frills and furbelows (e.g. huge not connected loudspeaker boxes with doilies on them or an old ergometer) but not a single bed side lamp.
  
  What could be improved: It is hard to find, the road you need to drive in is a dead-end road without a possibility to turn. The apartment is on the fourth floor without an escalator. So if you’ve got some heavy language you know what you’ve done afterwards. The balcony is useless. This is an east side, so in the morning you get full sun without any sun-blinds. The air-condition is old, it needs to run all the time to get pleasant temperature. The parking place is public and there are not many, so if you move your car it will be gone. But apart from that it is OK.

  The appartement has very good location in quiet area, walking distance to the Old Town and beaches – the walk is about 20-30 mins and first half of it goes uphill but all, adults and kids made it without any problem. The appartment had all we needed for the stay, it was clean and comfortable. The host was very nice and helpful, stayed in touch with us for and potential questions and gave us some good tips on places to visit.

  Perfect location for exploring the old town. On the 4th floor with beautiful views. Everything you need for a relaxing few days in debrobnik.

  If you need a comfortable and nice place to stay in Dubrovnik just book this appartment!
  The apartment is fully equipped and have all the amenities: kitchen equipment and some food, bathroom, towels, hair dryer, etc.
  Apartment is very spacious and clean with two comfortable bedrooms. There is a parking place which is a huge advantage of this place!
  The location is perfect, not far from the old town, markets and the gas station also are nerby.
  The host is very friendly and ready to help.
