The Wi-Fi actually works (not always a given in Old Town), and there’s decent water pressure, which – let’s be real – matters when you’ve been walking those marble streets all day.

What really sets this place apart though is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re close enough to Rector’s Palace and the cathedral that you can pop back for a midday break (smart move in summer), but far enough from the cruise ship crowds that you won’t be fighting through tour groups every time you want to grab morning coffee. There’s this little bakery around the corner on Prijeko Street that locals actually use, and the woman behind the counter will remember your order after a couple days. The apartment’s positioning means you get some of that evening golden hour light without the harsh midday sun that can make some Old Town places feel like ovens.

Sure, it’s a 3-star place, not some luxury resort, but that 8.8 rating isn’t accidental. The host clearly knows what travelers need – there are actual hangers in the closet, the kitchen has sharp knives, and they leave you proper Croatian coffee, not some instant stuff. Check-in was smooth, none of that “meet me at a random cafe” nonsense you sometimes get with apartment rentals. Parking’s the usual Old Town nightmare, but they give you solid directions to the closest garage and actually answer their phone when you inevitably get lost in those narrow streets.

The noise level’s reasonable too – you’ll hear some late-night chatter from people walking back from dinner, but it’s not the party chaos you get closer to the main square. Actually, I found those evening sounds kind of charming after a while, like a gentle reminder that you’re staying in a living, breathing medieval city rather than some museum.   Kitchen with a stove top and fridge.
  Laundry machine was a game changer!! They provide some detergents too (not enough room to hang the washed clothes anywhere though. the hosts to pls consider buying a clothing rack for drying!!)

  What could be improved: THE HOT WATER RUNS OUT. It runs out surprisingly fast so be careful in winter.
  Need to walk up 7-8 flights of stairs no elevator. It’s the top top floor. I doubt any accom would have any elevator within Dubrovnik old town though.
  Low/slanted ceiling. Be aware if you’re very very tall.
  The ventilator was broken so the entire place would stink of food if you cooked anything.
  Some utensils were a bit dirty so please wash them before using
