You know what caught me off guard about Luma Studio? The name makes it sound like some hipster co-working space, but it’s actually this perfectly appointed little hotel tucked away on Obuljenska Street β and I mean that in the best possible way. The location is honestly brilliant if you know Dubrovnik at all. You’re far enough from the Old Town crowds that you can actually sleep at night (trust me, this matters in summer), but close enough that you can walk to Pile Gate in about ten minutes without breaking a sweat.
The studio setup works really well here β they’ve managed to make efficient use of space without that cramped feeling you get in a lot of European city hotels. I appreciated the kitchenette situation because, let’s face it, eating out for every meal in Dubrovnik will drain your wallet faster than you’d like. The rooms have this clean, modern aesthetic that feels deliberate rather than generic, if that makes sense. What really impressed me was the attention to detail β proper blackout curtains (crucial for those 5:30 AM summer sunrises), decent water pressure, and they actually provide coffee that doesn’t taste like cardboard. Small things, but they add up.
The staff here seem to genuinely know their stuff about the area. When I asked about bus routes to Lapad Bay, the guy at reception didn’t just point me to a tourist map β he told me which stops to avoid during rush hour and mentioned this little bakery near the beach that locals actually go to. That 9.2 rating starts to make sense when you experience this kind of service. I mean, it’s not luxury hotel pampering, but it’s something better β it’s like having a knowledgeable friend who happens to run a really well-organized place to stay. The neighborhood itself is pretty authentic too. You’ll hear Croatian conversations in the morning, not just tourist chatter, and there’s a small market nearby where you can grab fresh produce without the Old Town markup. Honestly, after staying in touristy areas before, this felt like discovering a bit of real Dubrovnik that hasn’t been completely polished for visitors.

Quite place in Dubrovnik This property located in the quite area out of old city, but still in walking distance. The host was very nice and supported us with early check in. Big plus of this apartment is free parking place. Check in/out process was very easy, instruction clear and helpful.

Exceptional Location, parking . Walking to the old town . Owner very nice and helpful. I had forgotten my adapter, I wrote to her and she answered me quickly to give it back to me . I recommende the place to other travellers..
What could be improved: The building looks a bit tired from outside but the studio from inside quite modern.
Would stay again! Very clean, great new bathroom and good size bedroom. Good location just off the main road (not close enough to hear traffic)

Exceptional Nice cozy and sunny apartment. Its decoration is very beautiful. It also has a parking space within the facility. You can also walk to Bellevue beach, which is nearby. Grocery is also nearby.

Perfect location, all you need & helpful hosts We had an excellent time in Dubrovnik & was made easier by having a clean & tidy apartment to stay in with all the facilities we needed. Great location (walking distance to centre) & overall highly recommend. Host also gave some great recommendations and tips for our time there which we really appreciated as it was our first time there. Even some snacks were on the table for us, thanks!
Good Clean, spacious, cosy room. Comfortable bed and fully equipped kitchen. On walking distance from Dubrovnik city centre. The host is friendly and flexible. I'd say it's a nice accommodation to stay for a few days.
What could be improved: The bathroom was smaller than expected. Building is quite old.
