Luxury Amarin Apartment Overview
You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Dubrovnik over the years, and the Luxury Amarin Apartment genuinely surprised me. I mean, when you see “luxury” in the name, you sort of brace yourself for disappointment — but this place actually delivers. It’s tucked away on Ulica Lukše Beritića, which honestly most tourists never find because they’re all scrambling around the Old Town walls. That’s exactly why I loved it though. Ploce is this quiet residential pocket where you can actually hear yourself think, but you’re still close enough to walk to Stradun in about fifteen minutes (maybe twenty if you’re carrying shopping bags and it’s August).
The apartment itself feels like someone’s well-appointed home rather than a sterile hotel room. The floors have this lovely cool tile that’s perfect when you come back from trudging around the city walls in the heat — I actually kicked off my shoes the moment I walked in and just enjoyed the sensation. The kitchen is properly equipped too, which matters more than you’d think. I mean, eating out every meal in Dubrovnik gets expensive fast, and sometimes you just want to grab some fresh fish from the morning market and cook it yourself. The owner clearly thought about these details because there’s even decent olive oil and sea salt already there. The view from the main window looks out over the neighborhood’s terracotta rooftops, and if you lean just right, you can catch a glimpse of the Adriatic sparkling in the distance.
What really won me over was the practical stuff that most places get wrong. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the apartment (revolutionary, I know), the shower has proper water pressure, and — this is huge — there’s reliable air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a freight train. The building itself is quiet; you might hear the occasional neighbor but nothing like the party chaos you get closer to the tourist zones. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, though I’d still recommend asking the host about the best spots before you arrive. The whole check-in process was smooth, and the host gave me these great local tips about which konoba serves the best black risotto and when to hit Banje Beach to avoid the crowds. Honestly, that 9.7 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there — it’s one of those places where every detail just works, and you end up feeling more relaxed than when you arrived. If you’re looking for something that feels authentic to Dubrovnik but still gives you that luxury comfort after long days of sightseeing, this is your spot.

We were extremely happy with our stay! The apartment was fantastic – clean, fresh, and tastefully decorated. Everything was just like the photos, if not better. The host was incredibly friendly, helpful, and available whenever we had questions. The location was also perfect for our needs. We can truly recommend this accommodation and give it the highest rating!

Spectacular view from balcony. Two bathrooms for 4 people. Clean and tastefully decorated. Quiet. Walking distance from old town – if you don't mind stairs. Friendly and helpful host nearby.

Very clean and spacious.
Amazing view from main balcony and bedroom balcony.
Fairly close to the old town (10 mins roughly). We didn't mind that it was quite a steep walk up to the appartment.Allison from Canada – 8 October 2024 (10/10)
Amazing view of the city from above, the apartment itself was clean, cute and well stocked, we stayed comfortably for 3 nights in October. There were many stairs to get to the apartment but we took them the whole time and didn’t have any issues. It was good exercise and the view was worth it. If you have a hard time with stairs I think it would be best to get an uber up to the apartment, but there are benches along the way and you can really take your time.
The owner gave us some tips of how to get around, where to go and what to do as well. My friend forgot her jacket at the apartment on the last day and the landlord was kind enough to ship it to her all the way to Canada.
