You know what caught me off guard about Luxury Apartments Con Vista? The name actually undersells it. I mean, yeah, there’s a view – but honestly, when you’re staying right in Ploče, you’re basically living like a local in one of Dubrovnik’s most authentic neighborhoods. The building at 24 Ulica Frana Cale sits on this quiet residential street where you’ll hear actual Croatian conversations drifting from windows, not just tourist chatter.
The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious for Croatia – and I say that having squeezed into my fair share of tiny European accommodations. The owners clearly get that travelers want to spread out a bit, especially if you’re doing the whole “base yourself in Dubrovnik and explore” thing. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to keep that homey Croatian apartment feel without skimping on the stuff that actually matters, like decent WiFi and a kitchen that’s actually usable (not just decorative). The furnishings are clean and modern without being sterile – sort of that perfect middle ground between someone’s grandmother’s place and a generic hotel chain.
Here’s the thing about staying in Ploče that most people don’t realize until they’re here: you’re close enough to walk to Old Town when you want that postcard experience, but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night. No cruise ship crowds right outside your window, no street performers until 2 AM. Plus – and this is huge if you’re renting a car – parking isn’t the nightmare it is closer to the walls. The local bakery down the street opens early, and there’s this little konoba about three blocks away where the fish is better than half the touristy places charging twice as much. The host actually gave me directions to it, which tells you something about how they think about their guests’ experience beyond just the four walls of the apartment. With a 9.3 rating, you’d expect something special, and honestly, it delivers – just not in the flashy way you might anticipate. It’s more like staying at your well-traveled friend’s perfectly appointed Croatian pied-à-terre.

The meet and greet was a lovely touch and made sure arrival was really smooth
What could be improved: There are a lot of steps which sometimes made the return to the property a bit tricky for our older mother. The views however certainly were worth the effort and Uber rides were so easy and cheap we avoided the stairs on occasion.
Dino met us and carried our suitcases for us , our flight was in late and Dino had arranged a welcome pack of essentials for us untill the shops opened , we didn’t expect this ,
The apartment was just amazing,immaculate clean and beds so comfortable, hot water for showers and a fantastic cooking area in kitchen ,
Dinos mam and good friend called round with freshly made juice and marmalade made with fruit from their garden , this was very much appreciated as we where just back from the half marathon in Dubrovnik.
We had a lovely chat with them and they gave us lots of very helpful information.
The pool and lounge area was a fantastic area for recovery after the run , in fact we didn’t want to leave the villa as it was so comfortable , only our adventures where calling us , Dino also arranged a taxi pick up for us and 4am ,
What could be improved: We didn’t like leaving the property ,

What could be improved: The location is superb, but there are a lot of steps to the property due to where it is situated, however, it is definitely worth it for both the property and the views.
Property was very big and spacious for our group of 5. It was very well equipped with everything we needed whilst there. Views from the apartment over Dubrovnik old town were fantastic. The pool area was fantastic (although we never got weather to enjoy it while there). Our host Dino was very helpful and met us there on arrival despite not getting there until after midnight.
What could be improved: There were a lot of steps up to the apartment both from the nearest road but even more if walking direct from the old town!
A spacious, relaxing apartment with a real holiday feel. There is plenty of room for a family or in our case a group of friends travelling together. There are options for outdoor relaxing as well as comfortable indoor furniture. Kitchen is well equipped, so eating at home (with that view) is a good option. Dino is a great host - responsive and quick, and he very kindly helped with our luggage on arrival. And that vista! It is really gorgeous. A day lounging around on the terrace gazing at the view is a day well spent.
What could be improved: We knew in advance about the steps, but they are quite something! We appreciated Dino's suggestion to arrive at the top entrance and carry the bags down the steps to the apartment, and then we organised our departure pickup from the lower street so again were carrying the bags down.
Lovely appartment with stunning views. The property contained all tht we needed and was very comfortable.
Easy to collect keys, as owner was there on arrival to greet us and show us around the property. He was easy to contact during our stay.
What could be improved: The property is on a hill with many steps around 460 to old town which is not too bad on the way down. It ismore challenging on the way up. We managed to do the steps everytime we returned as we were wanting to burn off some calories. YOu could laways get an Uber to the property on the return journey however this adds to the cost.
The view across the old town was superb and the balcony and pool areas absolutely made the most of it. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. Host was very helpful and being close to but outside the old town was ideal. It’s a very steep walk up but we got Ubers home each time and they were quick and cheap.
What could be improved: There are 2 apartments and we were in the upstairs one. Hard floors meant you heard lots of movement from the other apartment but that didn’t really matter and it didn’t detract.
The views are awesome and the host, Dino was super.
Beautiful, well maintained, clean, modern and fully equipped apartment. There’s a separate bbq area with the view and table & chairs. The private pool was separate from the apartment which is just a few steps up and again with the view plus with a kitchenette and a working fridge for drinks. Our kids brought inflatables that made their swimming more fun. The view from the balcony is the best! It was also very spacious and good for hanging out from sunrise to sunset. Dino was very helpful. He met us at the drop off point and had given us suggestions and directions. He was always a message away. He also kindly given us packs of ice cubes and charcoals for the bbq. Beach/bath towels were all provided. The driver who he contacted for our transfer back to the airport even offered to stop us by the view on the way and took some photos for us. The living space fr the lounge, kitchen, dining, 2 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms were all very spacious and comfortable.
What could be improved: The stairs going up and down the apartment would not be suitable for people with mobility problems but for us it was all worth the view and a convenient walk into the old town.
