Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name “Luxury BonBon,” I rolled my eyes a little. But you know what? This place actually lives up to the slightly quirky branding, and the location is genuinely fantastic. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Banje beach (the one with the postcard views of the Old Town walls), and getting into Dubrovnik’s historic center is just as easy – maybe five minutes through the Ploče Gate. I mean, you can’t really ask for better positioning than Sunčana ulica for accessing both the beach scene and the medieval charm without dealing with the crowds that pile up near Stradun.

The hotel itself feels more like a boutique spot than your typical four-star chain property. There’s this warm, almost residential vibe that works really well – probably because the building doesn’t scream “tourist hotel” from the outside. The rooms are actually quite nice, though honestly, you’re not going to spend much time in them with everything right outside your door. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re so close to the action. The staff knows the area inside and out too, which makes a difference when you’re trying to figure out dinner reservations or whether it’s worth hiking up to Fort Lawrence (spoiler: it is, especially around sunset).

Here’s what really sold me on this place – it’s that sweet spot where you can walk to Banje for your morning coffee and people-watching, then wander into the Old Town for lunch without any planning or taxi drama. And when those cruise ship crowds hit around midday (which they absolutely will), you can actually escape back to the hotel or the beach pretty easily. The 7.9 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it does exactly what you want a Dubrovnik hotel to do. The neighborhood gets lively during peak season, but in a good way, not in a “drunk British tourists at 2 AM” way. Plus, if you’re into swimming, Banje is honestly one of the better beaches in the area – pebbly, sure, but the water’s crystal clear and you’ve got those incredible fortress views. Just don’t expect luxury resort amenities here; it’s more about the location and the experience of being right in the heart of everything that matters in Dubrovnik.

  Loved everything about the apartment. Open space apartment, more of a large studio. Well equipped. Hot water available 24/7. Host was very helpful and friendly.
  
  What could be improved: Ants visited us on the last evening in random places through the house. Make sure not to leave snacks hanging about if not being eaten immediately.

  We were told a couple of days ahead of arriving how to collect the keys. The property was easy to find. The location was amazing! So close to the old town. The apartment is very clean and was ready a little early so we were able to drop our luggage off.
  
  What could be improved: Shower rail attachment was broken so the shower head did not hold in place. We still had the rainfall shower so not a massive issue. Bed was firm but that is personal preference.

  A well equipped and well located apartment in the old town which is ideal for two people. There was very good contact with the host who was accommodating and helpful. A steady walk takes you to all the main restaurants and bars. However, this apartment would not suit anyone with mobility issues as there are many steps involved to get to sea-level.

  What could be improved: Everything was fine about our stay but I accidentally left some clothes in the wardrobe and soon after we left I remembered and let the host know but they said the cleaner had already been and thrown them in the bin outside so we headed back to the apartment and looked in the bins on the road but they weren't there. We were disappointed that they couldn't help anymore.
