You know what caught me off guard about this place? It’s technically called a “luxury downtown west apartment,” but honestly, it feels way more like a boutique hotel experience than some cramped city rental. I mean, the location alone – tucked away on Hrvatskog crvenog križa in Lapad – puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything but far enough from the Old Town crowds that you can actually breathe.

The Lapad peninsula is where a lot of locals actually prefer to stay, and after spending time here, I totally get why. You’ve got this relaxed residential vibe with tree-lined streets, but you’re literally a 15-minute bus ride (or honestly, a pretty pleasant walk along the coast) to Pile Gate and all the Game of Thrones madness. The apartment itself is… well, it’s one of those places where the 4-star rating feels almost conservative. Everything’s been done with this careful attention to detail – the kind where you notice things like really good water pressure in the shower and blackout curtains that actually block light. The 9.8 rating makes sense when you’re dealing with space that feels genuinely livable rather than just Instagram-pretty.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. Lapad has this residential calm that the Old Town obviously can’t offer, but you’re not stuck in some tourist-resort bubble either. There’s a solid grocery store within walking distance (which, let’s be honest, saves you a fortune when Croatian restaurant prices add up), and the whole area feels like actual Dubrovnik life rather than a themed experience. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward key-pickup-from-a-random-café situation you sometimes get with apartment rentals. During peak summer months, I’d imagine this location is perfect because you can escape back to somewhere that feels like home base, but even in shoulder season, there’s something really appealing about having your own space with hotel-level finishes. The only minor thing I’d mention is that if you’re planning to walk everywhere, your legs will get a workout with some of the hills around here – but honestly, that’s just Dubrovnik geography for you.

  Great place, brand new, spacious apartment for a couple, very modern facility with everything you need. Our host Ivo was very nice and informative. He took time to explain to us important things about Dubrovnik. Very useful.
  Once you get out of the building you have a bus stop that takes you everywere, a supermarket and a local bakery. The old town is just 15 min away walking distance.
  The city is incredible, you gonna have a lot of fun here, we sure did.
  The croatian people are very kind and polite, and you feel safe everywere you walk no matter what hour.
  Definitely gonna revisit Croatia again im the near future.
  
  What could be improved: My only regret is that I should have booked 7 nights instead of 5 like we had. There are so many nice things to see in this city.

  Amazing apartment, it had everything we needed for our stay in Dubrovnik – it was like a home away from home. Ivo was a great host, leaving very clear instructions on how to get to the property.
  
  The apartment was clean, plus we loved all the extra touches like the cottonbuds and shavers ect in the bathroom, the maps and handwritten recommendations for where to visit was also a nice touch. We also liked having a kitchen to make breakfast in the mornings, it helped that there was all the basic seasonings as well.
  
  The balcony was also lovely – we didn't get to us it much, but was nice to have a place to sit outdoors and enjoy the sunshine.
  
  Was also so convenient to have a bus stop just outside the apartment building, which would take you to the Old town within 5 mins.
  
  We would definitely love to come back here.

  Ivo was phenomenal. There were instructions for entry and for use of everything in the properlt and a map with suggestions for us to help us enjoy our trip more. The apartment was set up with everything we needed

  Every thing that you needed for feeling at home was available in the apartment. It was very clean and organized.The location was a perfect walk to the old town, it was close to restaurants, markets, hiking trails and beach.

  Clean, comfortable, modern apartment. Well situated- 25 mins walk to the Old city, walking distance to beaches, port. Bakery, supermarket and bus stop outside. Lots of extra touches – fruit, water, tea, coffee, snacks etc. Good communication with owner. Plenty of clean towels.
  
  What could be improved: Bed was a bit firm for our tastes, but that is obviously a personal thing. Kitchen cupboards were too high for us to reach pots easily.

  Great place to stay in Dubrovnik! The apartment had everything we needed, and the host was very welcoming. It was quiet, clean, and close to everything. A small suggestion would be to add a microwave. Otherwise – perfect!

  Our host promptly replied to any questions and had left us fruit and snacks which were very appreciated. The apartment is a perfect size for a couple. It was sparkling clean with a comfortable bed, sofas to relax on, kitchen with a toastie maker, electric jug, dishwasher etc etc and a beautiful bathroom. We loved the balcony to enjoy a cuppa or glass of wine. Location is excellent as Tommy's supermarket is 5mins, bakery is 2mins and the harbour is 5mins walk away. Right outside the building is the bus stop to Pile Gate! The main bus station was also a very quick ride.
