Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about this place? The name’s actually pretty accurate – it really does feel like staying in someone’s beautifully appointed modern apartment rather than a typical hotel room. And that sea view? Well, let’s just say I spent way too much time on that balcony with my morning coffee, watching the ferries head out to the islands while the old town walls caught the early light.
The location on Ulica Svetog Križa is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Dubrovnik rather than just visiting it. You’re close enough to walk to the Pile Gate in about ten minutes (though it’s uphill coming back – fair warning), but far enough from the cruise ship crowds that you can actually hear yourself think. I mean, during peak season the old town can get absolutely mental, so having this quiet residential street to retreat to was a godsend. There’s a small grocery store just around the corner where the owner speaks decent English, and honestly, picking up some local wine and cheese to enjoy on that terrace became my favorite evening ritual.
The apartment itself has that clean, minimalist vibe that actually works – sometimes “modern” can feel cold, but whoever designed this place got the balance right. The kitchen’s well-equipped enough that I actually cooked a few meals (those restaurant prices in the old town add up fast), and the Wi-Fi was solid throughout, which matters if you’re trying to work remotely. The sea view varies depending on which room you’re in, but even from the living area you can catch glimpses of the Adriatic between the buildings. One small thing – the shower pressure is excellent, which might sound trivial until you’ve spent a week in older European accommodations where it’s just a sad trickle. The 9.1 rating makes sense to me; it’s not quite luxury hotel territory, but it’s definitely a cut above your average rental, and the hosts were responsive when I had questions about the air conditioning remote (because of course I couldn’t figure it out at first). If you’re planning to stay during summer, book early – places like this with actual sea views and modern amenities get snapped up quickly, and for good reason.

The property was exactly as described. Marina the host was very welcoming and even allowed us to check in early and stored our luggage after check out.
Superlative in every respect, the view, the apartment and the kind and gracious owner. – Sandra from United States – 27 June 2025 (10/10)
The location just up the hill across from the port is perfect and the view of the Adriatic at sunset is stunning. The apartment is clean and spacious, with an outside terrace and table, a full kitchen and washing machine. Martina, the owner, lives on site and greeted us and kept my bags after check out until my afternoon ferry. She is kind and thoughtful and helpfully provides maps.
What could be improved: It would be good if Booking.com provided the street address.Great Place for a couple close to Old City – Kirk from United States – 6 June 2025 (10/10)
Perfect place to stay for a couple. Great view, comfortable bed, great kitchen, close to the old city with parking. Host was very helpful and friendly. Lots of restaurants and markets close by to get anything you need for your stay. Would absolutely stay here again!

Lovely apartment with all the facilities you may need for your stay. Beautiful views off the balcony.
We were able to walk to the old town within 30 minutes, but they were regular buses also going there.
Very much enjoyed our stay!Great apartment with stunning views! ! – Gosia from United Kingdom – 23 August 2024 (10/10)
Lovely and comfortable apartment, conveniently located near the port for boat trips and for onward travel in Croatia by ferry. The apartment has everything we needed for our stay. The host greeted us on arrival and showed us around the apartment, she also left a little welcome gift for us The view form the balcony is absolutely stunning, you can watch all the activity in the port with a morning coffee and of course the beautiful sunsets over Dubrovnik. The view really is spectacular! Old Town is about 35-40 minute walk and although there are multiple busses to the Old Town, we preferred to walk everywhere. Would definitely recommend this apartment and would book again without hesitation for our next trip to Dubrovnik.
Loved our stay, just not the steps. – Gregory from Australia – 16 June 2024 (9/10)
View, view, view
It was very clean, comfortable bed and great shower. The washing machine was a plus. Easy access to the old town by public bus.
What could be improved: Access was an issue. All properties in Dubrovnik involve steps and this apartment was no exception.Great place for most, a little hard on 75 year olds. – William from Canada – 6 June 2024 (8/10)
The view was exceptional. The general location in Gruz was good, close to ferries, busses, cruise ships and restaurants.we were able to access tours from the bus depot and port easily. The apartment was spacious with lots of amenities, even a coffee maker, the first we found in Croatia, and Marina left us a bottle of wine! Also, a washing machine and clothes drying rack.
What could be improved: The stairs and the noise. There were 34 stairs into the apartment, 71 stairs up to the convenience store, 45 stairs up from the street below, and another 91 stairs from the Main Street next to the port and bus terminal. At night, there was a lot of noise from motorcycles racing around town and from partners on the yachts.
