Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Nest Apartment? The name actually makes sense once you’re inside – it really does feel like a cozy nest tucked away on Boškovićeva Street. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from Stradun (that’s the main marble street everyone talks about), but somehow you’ve escaped all the tourist chaos that comes with staying right in the thick of things.
The building itself has that typical Dubrovnik stone facade that photographs beautifully, though honestly, you’ll be too busy getting your bearings to notice much during check-in. What I loved was how the apartment strikes this perfect balance between authentic Croatian character and actually having the modern stuff you need – like proper air conditioning, which trust me, you’ll want in July and August. The WiFi works well too, though I suppose that’s less charming to mention. The space feels genuinely lived-in rather than sterile, with local touches that make you feel like you’re staying in someone’s actual home rather than a corporate rental. There’s this lovely morning light that filters through the windows, and you can hear the gentle hum of locals going about their day instead of constant tour group chatter.
Here’s what really won me over though – the location gives you the best of both worlds. You’re close enough to pop back for a midday rest (seriously, do this in summer), but far enough from the Pile Gate entrance that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds streaming past your door at 8 AM. The narrow streets around Boškovićeva have some fantastic little konobas that most tourists never find, and there’s a small market nearby where locals actually shop – not just the touristy stuff near the main square. Walking to the city walls takes maybe five minutes, and you can reach those Instagram-famous red rooftop viewpoints without the trek that people staying outside Old Town have to make. The only minor thing I’d mention is that like most places in the old city, you’ll be doing some walking on uneven stones with your luggage, but that’s just part of the Dubrovnik experience. Parking isn’t on-site (well, nowhere in Old Town really has that), but they’ll sort you out with clear directions to the nearest spot. For what you’re getting – a genuine Old Town experience without the tourist trap feeling – it’s honestly a steal, especially considering how crazy expensive Dubrovnik can get during peak season.

Cosy retreat in the heart of the old town – Don from United Kingdom – 19 June 2025 (9/10)
Located in the vibrant heart of the old town this is a cosy retreat. Gorgeous views of the roofscapes and walls of Dubrovnik this is a beautiful, quirky home perfect for exploring Dubrovnik. Just minutes away from the cable car, minutes from the main squares and bustling old town commercial area. The apartment had everything needed. I would recommend this lovely home to friends.
What could be improved: Split level apartment with two internal flights of stairs (kitchen area on the top level) – but Dubrovnik is a city of steps!Lovely apartment with everything you need for a stay in the old town close to bars, restaurants and the sights. We wer – Heidi from United Kingdom – 3 June 2025 (9/10)
Well positioned, easy to find, host communicated well. Had everything we needed. We could come and go as early or late as we wanted to. Bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve stayed in. No back ache or stiffness. Would definately re book in the future.
What could be improved: One suggestion would be to have instructions over the switch outside the bathroom or welcome email to turn the water on to heat up. We didn’t realise but it didn’t detract from our stay at all. Once heated the shower was really powerful and hotGreat location for a short stay – Leonie from United Kingdom – 29 May 2025 (8/10)
Perfect location for a short stay in the old town. Close to lots of good restaurants and bars. Beds comfy. Great value.
What could be improved: Kitchen facilities limited (some wine glasses and coffee making facility would be great). Living room could do with more comfortable seating. But overall a great place for a memorable weekend in the heart of Dubrovnik!Lovely place, – Karl from United Kingdom – 19 May 2025 (8/10)
Nice place, Easy access..Has everything needed for a short break away
What could be improved: Its a the top of some steep steps which was a bit tough especially after a few drinks..Good Cardio workout thouLoved it!! – Antonio from Australia – 20 September 2024 (7/10)
Being close to the Buza gate we only had a fairly short walk to the Airport Shuttle Bus.
We also had the choice of either walking up the steps from the Stradum or going around along the footpath and down a few steps to our accommodation.
What could be improved: There were no bowls in the kitchen, which could have been better equipped, otherwise everything else was quite acceptable.Dubrovnik is a must-see. – Henry from South Africa – 11 July 2023 (7/10)
Location.
What could be improved: Lots of stairs. Cupboard and draws in the kitchen were broken.Great location – John from United Kingdom – 3 July 2023 (7/10)
Great location, right next to Buza Gate.
Apartment is a good size, just be aware its split over three floors and so has a lot of stairs (on top of all the steps walking around Dubrovnik),
What could be improved: Sofa and chairs in lounge area could have been more comfortable for relaxing in.
A number of light bulbs weren't working and need replacing.wonderful Dubrovnik – Vera from Finland – 9 October 2022 (7/10)
the location was good, the apartment was clean and the owner was friendly.
What could be improved: the man in the downstairs office was a little rude.Great location – Angel from Canada – 8 July 2022 (8/10)
It was close to the main attractions, had AC, convenient to Taxi stand and gates. Easy check in and check out process. Nice view from the kitchen up top. It was quite quiet at night outside despite being in Old Town.
What could be improved: I wish there were more electrical outlets to charge devices and a bathroom fan.Fantastic in every way – Lisa from Australia – 12 October 2024 (10/10)
Beautifully renovated, right inside old town, fully equipped, comfy bed, easy communication, key safe for easy checkin. Perfect!
