You know what really struck me about Nikili apartment when I first walked up to it? The location is just ridiculously perfect – you’re literally on Ilije Sarake street, which honestly feels like you’re living inside the old city walls rather than just visiting. I mean, most places claim to be in Old Town, but this one actually sits right in the thick of it. The building itself has that weathered stone look that screams authentic Dubrovnik, and while it’s not fancy (we’re talking 3-star territory here), there’s something genuinely charming about staying somewhere that feels like locals might actually live there too.

The apartment setup works really well for people who want to feel settled rather than just passing through. I loved having a proper kitchen – not one of those sad hotel kitchenettes, but actual counter space where you can prep breakfast or store those Croatian wines you’ll inevitably buy too many of. The rooms are comfortable enough, though don’t expect luxury linens or anything. What you get instead is character, like those thick stone walls that keep things cool even when Dubrovnik gets sweltering in summer. The 8.6 rating makes total sense because while it’s not perfect (the WiFi can be spotty, and honestly, good luck finding street parking nearby), it delivers exactly what it promises. The staff actually seems to know the neighborhood – they pointed me toward this tiny bakery on Prijeko that I never would’ve found otherwise.

Here’s the thing about staying right in Old Town though – you’re going to hear some street noise, especially during peak season when the cruise ships dump everyone out for the day. But honestly? By 8 PM when the day-trippers clear out, it gets surprisingly peaceful. You can walk to Rector’s Palace in about three minutes, hit up the city walls entrance in five, and there’s this little convenience store tucked away on a side street that saves you from those tourist-trap prices near the main drag. I actually ended up extending my stay because there’s something addictive about being able to duck home for a quick break between exploring, then head back out for dinner without any planning. It’s not the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but if you want to feel like you’re actually experiencing Dubrovnik rather than just checking it off a list, Nikili gets it right.

  The location was amazing!! Best part of the old town and we spent lots of time swimming so we were close to all the spots like buzz bar. This apartment was also the cleanest place we have ever stayed!! Very fresh and spacious.

  The property is in the heart of the old town. Dubrovnik and it’s surrounds have a lot of hills and stairs so this being in the flatter pet was good for going in and out regularly.
  
  What could be improved: The only downside, which is just part of the old town living is that there is a lot of early morning noise from deliveries and daily garbage collection below the apartment. But for a few days stay it’s tolerable.

  Ми задоволені нашою поїздкою до Дубровника, а особливо нашими апартаментами. Це повне співпадіння очікування та реальність 😍 чисто, затишно та доброзичливий господар, хоч нас і не зустрічав, але з заселенням та відʼїздом було все легко та зрозуміло. Однозначно можу рекомендувати ці апартаменти тим хто хоче насправді зануритися в життя та відчути атмосферу стародавнього міста. ❤️

  Die Lage der Unterkunft ist optimal, mitten im Zentrum, dennoch mit dem Koffer gut zu erreichen. Ich hätte mehr Lärm in der Nacht erwartet, da war es aber sehr ruhig. Die Müllabfuhr weckt einen um 6, das ist in Altstädten aber oft so.

  Bel appartement, très bien aménagé avec le nécessaire adéquat, extrêmement bien situé au cœur même de la vieille ville, à proximité des centres d'intérêt culturel, boutiques, bars, cafés, restaurants, supérettes. Des chambres spacieuses avec un espace de vie idéal pour 4,5 personnes.
  Nous avons été très bien accueillis.
  
  What could be improved: Le revers d'être situé au centre d'une ville touristique et le bruit jusqu'à tard dans la nuit. Les chambres sont mal isolées en terme de bruit.
  – La literie avec un matelas peu confortable et un lit qui couine dès que l'on bouge.
