Hotel Description
So I stumbled upon Nunas Luxury Port Residences during my third visit to Dubrovnik, and honestly? It’s one of those places that makes you realize you’ve been doing hotels all wrong. The building sits on Hrvatskog Crvenog Križa street in Lapad – which, if you know Dubrovnik at all, means you’re actually in the peninsula where locals hang out instead of being crammed into the tourist circus of Old Town.
The first thing that hits you is how quiet it is here. I mean, you’re still close enough to walk to Lapad Beach (maybe 8 minutes on foot), but there’s this residential calm that’s pretty rare in Dubrovnik during peak season. The apartments – because these are proper residences, not just hotel rooms – have these massive windows that let in all this Mediterranean light, and the kitchens are actually functional. Like, you could cook a real meal if you wanted to, which is refreshing after staying in places where the “kitchenette” is basically a mini-fridge and a prayer. The port views from some units are legitimately spectacular, especially in the evening when the fishing boats come back and the whole scene gets this golden hour treatment.
What really sold me on this place was the staff’s approach – they’re not hovering, but they know the neighborhood inside and out. The woman at reception told me about this little bakery around the corner that opens at 6 AM (perfect for early Old Town visits before the cruise ship crowds arrive), and she was right about the bus route to Pile Gate being way more reliable than the tourist shuttle. You know what’s interesting? The building itself feels more like a residential complex than a hotel, which means you get actual Croatian neighbors and this sense of living in the city rather than just visiting it. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be flashy or over-the-top luxurious, but everything just works really well. The WiFi is solid, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and the beds are properly comfortable. Plus, parking is included, which if you’ve ever tried to park in Dubrovnik during summer, you’ll understand why that’s basically worth its weight in gold. The only minor thing is that some of the lower-floor units can get a bit of street noise in the mornings, but honestly, it’s just normal neighborhood sounds – nothing compared to the chaos you’d deal with staying near Stradun.

Great place to stay in Dubrovnik – Jelisejevs from Latvia – 28 May 2025 (9/10)
Location is great. Can easily go to all parts of Dubrovnik. Bus station just outside the building. Parking in bulding is convenient, but costs 25 EUR/day. Overall car is only needed if plan to travel outside of town.
Room very nice, clean and spacious and quiet.
What could be improved: Only had an issue with bad smell in the bathroom in the mornings – seems some drainage issue that was reported and tried to fix but was still present on last day. Would go away after using the shower.
other than that -no issues.Exceptional – Shan from China – 19 May 2025 (10/10)
Although the apartment isn’t located right in the ancient town, it’s very convenient and affordable to get there by taxi. The building has a secure keypad entry system, which made us two girls feel safe throughout our stay. The host was incredibly kind and patient, always answering our questions promptly. On our last day, when my suitcase broke and delayed our checkout, the host kindly arranged a late checkout for us—we’re so grateful! If I ever visit again with my family, I’d definitely choose to stay here once more!
Great location and value for money – Wysocki from United Kingdom – 18 April 2025 (10/10)
The flat is perfectly located between the ports and the old city. It has a super comfortable bed and extra effort is taken in cleanliness. Awesome value for money!
You won’t be disappointed with this studio – Marisa from Australia – 30 October 2024 (9/10)
Met by host upon arrival. Spacious studio. Very clean. Very comfy bed and linens. Easy 10 min walk from cruise terminal. Close to shops and cafes. Bus at door for old town.
What could be improved: Nothing to dislike.Fantastic apartment in Dubrovnik – Ronald from United Kingdom – 18 September 2024 (10/10)
Everything, a beautiful apartment with onsite parking. Great comms with the owner with any sort of query, would definitely stay again.
Fantastic – Riikka from Finland – 12 September 2024 (10/10)
We had a lovely stay.
The communication with the owner was quick and easy.
Apartment was exactly like in the pictures, very spacious and tidy.
Location is great in terms of public transportation, there is a buss stop right outside the building with multiple bus options to the old town.
Building was very quiet.
What could be improved: Nothing to fault really. If anything then kitchen could use a spatula and bathroom could have extra towel hooks for the bath towels.Perfect Homebase for Exploring Dubrovnik – Jayme from United States – 10 September 2024 (9/10)
Building and apartment are extremely accessible both walking and by bus (you can walk to the port and nearby beaches within 10-15 min). The bus stop is right outside and takes you directly to old town. The apartment felt super clean and was very comfortable. The finishes inside were super cute and on trend. There was a coffee maker with nespresso pods included, a mini fridge, and the full closet to hang our belongings was very nice. We enjoyed the balcony and view of the port. I liked that we were in a little bit quieter area of the city but still super accessible to it. The host was also very responsive and responded to any inquiries I had within 5 minutes. I would recommend staying here again!
What could be improved: There was no safe, which we would have liked just to feel a little more secure. We ended up just zipping our suitcase with our valuables inside and locking the zippers together and it wasn't a big deal. The building feels very secure and the apartment is on an upper level so we felt okay about it.Perfect. Wouldn’t change a thing, excellent week – Freddie from United Kingdom – 24 July 2024 (10/10)
Friendly & helpful host, great location, very clean and apartment exactly as described.
What could be improved: Nothing personal about the property but we would’ve enjoyed having an iron after travelling such a long way to stay.Exceptional – Lina from France – 14 July 2024 (10/10)

The location is perfect for both visiting and going to the beach.Very nice stay for a couple of nights! Beautiful view from the window! – Rebecca from Italy – 10 July 2024 (10/10)
The location was perfect for the boat trip we picked. It was an easy walk to old town. Parking was great for our large SUV. The hosts were very helpful and commutative. The AC was great! Walking distance to food and bars.
What could be improved: Everything was great!
