Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Opus Three apartment” on Ulica Andrije Hebranga, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that surprise you, and this little spot actually delivers where it counts.

The thing that immediately won me over was the private parking – and I mean, if you’ve ever tried to navigate Dubrovnik’s old streets with a rental car, you’ll understand why this is basically gold. The apartment sits in a quiet residential area that feels genuinely Croatian, not touristy at all. You’re about a 15-minute walk from the city walls, which honestly is perfect because you get to decompress after battling the cruise ship crowds all day. The walk back is mostly uphill (fair warning), but there’s this great little konoba called Taverna Rustica halfway up where locals actually eat – stumbled across it on my second night and the peka was incredible.

Inside, the apartment has that lived-in feel that’s way better than sterile hotel rooms. The owner, Marko, was really helpful during check-in and gave me the kind of local tips you can’t get from guidebooks – like where to buy groceries without paying tourist prices (there’s a Konzum about 5 minutes away) and which beaches the locals prefer. The place itself is clean and functional, though the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty during peak hours. The kitchen is actually usable, which is rare – I mean, they have real knives and everything, not those plastic things some places give you. The air conditioning works well, which you’ll definitely need if you’re there in summer, and the neighborhood is surprisingly quiet at night considering how close you are to everything.

What really sets this place apart is the balance it strikes. You’re not in the thick of the tourist madness, but you’re not stranded in the suburbs either. The bus stop for the old town is literally a 3-minute walk, and the buses run frequently during the day. Plus, being on Hebranga street means you’re actually in a part of Dubrovnik where people live and work – there’s a small market, a pharmacy, and even a decent bakery where you can grab burek for breakfast. The 7.7 rating feels about right – it’s not luxury, but it’s solid and unpretentious. The kind of place where you can store your day pack, take a proper shower, and plan your next move without feeling like you’re camping or breaking the bank. If you’re looking for marble bathrooms and room service, this isn’t your spot. But if you want a genuine base to explore from, with parking that doesn’t cost more than your dinner, Opus Three does exactly what it promises.

  The owner is extremely kind and helpful.
  We showed up within 30 minutes after the online booking. While he was cleaning the room, he offered us wine and seats.
  He also offered us towels when we went on a swimming tour, after we had checked out.

  Cosy little apartment, lovely garden and plenty of silverware, dishes, and facilities to make and store food. Love the aesthetic of it and has a nice fan to help keep you cool. Our host, Orsat, was very nice and attentive whenever we had questions. He really helped us feel like we were at home. Shops are nearby, as are food places. There is a beach about 10-15 mins away that we went to every morning and we were 15-20 mins from all of the major tourist attractions (such as Old Town). Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to go on holidays to Dubrovnik.

  The host was very attentive and was very obliging! The location was good, just a short walk to old town! A good view and decent outside space.
  
  What could be improved: The accommodation was more dated than we expected, requiring renovation, this included the bed, shower and electrics, which had all seen better days. No air conditioning, so although there was a ceiling fan, it was a little warm. We expected a traditional experience, but the property requires some attention, as above.

  Trevlig enkel lägenhet med tilltalande lukt av trä, behaglig terrass, bra trädgård för min hund. Läget perfekt för det vi ville göra: gå till Gamla Stan, gå till hundbadet i Babin Kuk. Fruktaffär alldeles intill och två barer för morgonkaffe.
  
  What could be improved: Internet var svagt, men den här gången var det inte så viktigt. Nyckelöverlämningen hade kunnat gå smidigare, men det var kanske en tillfälligt att det blev lite väntan.

  Wspaniały gospodarz, bardzo miły pytał czego nam brakuje czy moze pomóc. Tani pobyt, jest gdzie zaparkować. Fajny ogródek na wzniesieniu z ładnym widokiem dużo miejsca na grilla, śniadanie czy leżenie na tarasie. Lokalizacja super gdy idzie sie na stare miasto gorzej jak sie z niego wraca…😅 trochę jest pod górkę ale w tym mieście trzeba sie przyzwyczaić do schodów i wzniesień:) 10 m od mieszkania pizzeria z małą pizza ceny od 13-16 E jakos 100 czy 200m sklepik i mala restauracja. Darmowe WiFi dobrze chodzi, woda ciepla
