Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places around Dubrovnik, and honestly? This one lives up to its rather bold name. The “Piece of Heaven with a Million dollar View” sits right on Ulica Anice Bošković – which, if you know the area, puts you in this perfect sweet spot where you’re close enough to hear the Old Town’s evening buzz but far enough up the hill that you actually get some peace. The view from most rooms is… well, I mean, they weren’t kidding about the million-dollar part. You’re looking straight out over the Adriatic, and on clear mornings you can see the Elafiti Islands floating there like they’re barely real.

What actually impressed me most wasn’t just the panoramic water views (though those are spectacular, especially from the higher floors), but how they’ve managed to nail that balance between Croatian charm and modern comfort. The rooms feel authentically local – none of that generic hotel sterility – but everything works properly, you know? The air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train, the wifi actually reaches the balcony, and the shower pressure is decent. The staff genuinely seems to care about what they’re doing, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re trying to navigate Dubrovnik’s summer crowds or figure out the best time to hit Stradun before the cruise ships arrive. They’ll tell you to head down to the Old Town around 7 AM if you want those Instagram shots without fighting through tour groups – that kind of insider knowledge you can’t get from booking sites.

The location is what really sets this place apart though. You’re about a 15-minute walk down to Pile Gate, which sounds like nothing until you realize you’re climbing back UP after a day of exploring those marble streets in the heat. But here’s the thing – that uphill trek is absolutely worth it because you escape all the tourist chaos. By evening, you’re sipping wine on your balcony watching the sunset paint the Old Town walls golden while the cruise ships sail off into the distance. The neighborhood itself has this residential feel with actual Croatian families living nearby, a few local konobas where you can grab genuine peka if you’re tired of tourist restaurants, and honestly, it just feels more… real. Sure, it’s not the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, and the breakfast selection isn’t enormous, but sometimes you find these spots that just get everything right. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s one of those places where every detail, from the locally-sourced toiletries to the hand-written restaurant recommendations they leave in your room, shows someone actually thought about what travelers need.

  • Picture perfect views of Dubrovnik – we loved it so much! – Emily from United Kingdom – 20 May 2025 (10/10)

Honestly the most perfect apartment we’ve ever stayed in! The balcony and views are picture perfect. Lovely, cosy living area with sofa and huge comfy bed. There is literally everything you need – kitchen with all the supplies, toothbrushes in case you’ve forgotten… ladies there’s even hair straighteners! It’s right at the top of a gorgeous building so the spiral staircase isn’t for the weak but we had no issues at all. Also Daniela is so friendly and helpful, check in is super easy.

    What could be improved: Nothing!

  • Great stay! – Branislav from Canada – 29 April 2025 (10/10)

Daniela was extremely helpful and responsive host. she explained everything. Very clean apartment with the great view.

  • Perfect home and host – Paul from United Kingdom – 31 March 2025 (9/10)

Great location for old town, being a 10 minute walk. Very quite home with plenty of space and a comfy bed.
If you are coming to Dubrovnik then you must know there are lots of hills and stairs and this home is on the 4th floor so is quite a climb up.
The host is exceptional and always available, helped us book the kayak tour and on hand for any little questions.
    Would highly recommend

  • Relaxing, comfortable stay in well equipped apartment with fabulous views. – Liz from United Kingdom – 25 October 2024 (9/10)

A lovely flat with great views from all the rooms, even the little skylight in the kitchen. It has everything you need, space to sit and relax, very comfortable bed and plenty of storage, and handy to have a washing machine for less packing. Nice safe location just 10 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the old city and once you’ve done the walk a couple of times you soon get used to the steps! Both Petra and Daniela were very helpful with suggestions of places to eat and visit.

What could be improved: Might have been nice to have a little speaker for music. The kitchen is small but has everything you need and we were only making breakfast, might be more challenging if you really wanted to be self catering.

  • Great 3 night stay. Perfect for Dubrovinik and an end to our Croatia trip. – Keagan from Switzerland – 8 October 2024 (9/10)

Great views, well put together home. Perfect location, walkable to Oldtown and supermarkets, yet quiet and peaceful.

  • Indeed a million dollar view ! – Rajneesh from India – 29 September 2024 (10/10)

Million dollars indeed! What a gorgeous view and what an impeccably hosted place. You have every big and little amenities for being at home. Makes it a peace in heaven:).. The tiny but absolutely functional kitchen has a cute window for a bay view so that you don’t forget even for a minute where you are. I can come back to Dubrownik for this apartment. The living room is very tastefully done and has a cute balcony with spectacular 230degree view. The generous hosting with abundant tea coffee and amenities (tiny things that make you feel welcome) and quick response from Daniela made it a warm welcome. She even organised a porter to get us to the 4th floor with our heavy luggage. This place is a pleasant 15mins walk to the pile gate old town. I would give a 15 on 10 stars!

  • Great location to old town, a lot of steps, but so has the old town got an awful lot – Michael from United Kingdom – 20 September 2024 (9/10)

10 minute walk to the old town.
View from the balcony – WOW.

What could be improved: The 75 steps up to the apartment and they are spiral stairs. No lift. It will be very difficult for people with mobility issues to access the property especially as there's no-one to help with suitcases etc

  • Exceptional – Carlos from Brazil – 11 September 2024 (10/10)

What could be improved: "The access stairs to the apartment"

  • Modern apartment with stunning views, 10 minute walk from old town. – Orla from Ireland – 26 August 2024 (10/10)

The apartment was clean, tastefully decorated and well kitted out with everything you could need: washing machine, iron, coffee facilities, lots of cooking and cleaning products, beach umbrellas, travel guides – I think there might even have been a printer. We only stayed 2 nights but it would be very comfortable for longer stays also. The little touches like disposable slippers and toiletries made it feel like we were staying in a hotel 🙂 Daniela was super friendly and offered to arrange transport for us. We compared a lot of options before booking and this one was by far the best value for what we wanted, an excellent price for peak season Dubrovnik.

What could be improved: Like most of the accommodation in the area, the walk from the old town is quite hilly and has a lot of steps so it may not be ideal for older couples, but if you can manage it the amazing views definitely make it worth it!

  • Excellent – Aliona from United Kingdom – 9 July 2024 (10/10)

Beautiful apartment with stunning views; excellent host. We wish we could have stayed longer.
