You know what hits you first about PK Apartments? The location is absolutely ridiculous – and I mean that in the best possible way. Walking down Kovačka Street feels like stepping into a medieval postcard, except you’re actually living in it for a few days. The building itself has that weathered Dubrovnik stone that’s been watching over the Adriatic for centuries, but honestly, the inside is what’ll surprise you.
I mean, for a 3-star place, they’ve really nailed the balance between authentic charm and actually functional modern stuff. The apartments – because that’s what they are, proper apartments, not just hotel rooms – have these thick stone walls that keep everything surprisingly cool even when it’s blazing outside in July. The kitchenettes are small but thoughtfully laid out, which is clutch when you want to grab some fresh seafood from the morning market at Gundulić Square (literally a 2-minute walk) and throw together a quick lunch. The Wi-Fi actually works well, which… let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in Old Town’s ancient buildings.
Here’s the thing about staying right in the heart of Old Town – mornings are magical, but evenings can get pretty lively. You’ll hear the last of the day-trippers chatting as they head back to their cruise ships around sunset, then it settles into this perfect Mediterranean evening rhythm. The staff really knows their stuff too; they’ll tell you to hit Buža Bar for sunset drinks (take the little passage near St. Ignatius Church), or where to find the best gelato that isn’t tourist-trap overpriced. Parking is… well, it’s Old Town, so forget about parking anywhere nearby. But they’ll sort you out with clear directions to the closest garage, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t need a car anyway. Everything worth seeing is either walkable or a quick bus ride to Lapad if you want a proper beach day. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not luxury, but it’s exactly what you want from a Dubrovnik stay: authentic, comfortable, and positioned so you can stumble back from dinner at Taj Mahal (the Bosnian place, not Indian – trust me on this one) without navigating cruise ship crowds.

Exceptional Ideally located in the old town center.
The flat was clean and convenient.
Hosts were really kind and helpful, they even managed to send me back some stuff i forgot to an other city by bus, i gladly recommand.
Loved it. Hosts were wonderful. Would highly recommend Excellent location in Old Town. You get the full experience
What could be improved: Only challenge was the 3 flights of stairs.
I would stay again and suggest to friends. The apartment was very spacious, very clean and very organized. The family that owns it was kind and helpful. We really enjoyed being in the Old City so close to all the sites.

Amazing location with comfort and quiet This apartment is very minimal but comfortable. The bed is two twin beds together but the mattresses are very comfortable- we mostly used the other room for storage. The AC unit is in the living room/kitchen room but it works well and the air circulated to the bedroom if you leave the door open! The biggest thing about this apartment is the location. Other people have mentioned it but once you’re in the Old Town you’ll see how most of the restaurants/bars/tourist sites are just a few flights of stairs down. This makes a HUGE difference for popping in an out of the apartment throughout the day to beat the heat or regroup. We were shocked by the soundproofing on the windows as well. With them shut you can’t hear anyone on the street which is another rarity in Dubrovnik. Would definitely recommend this spot!
What could be improved: We didn’t sleep on the foldout bed but you could tell it was a little less comfortable!
Great stay in Dubrovnik! Amazing apartment in the walled city we absolutely loved our stay, the apartment was spacious and the hosts were accomodating. We had everything we need! It is on the 2nd floor but the host was so kind and helped me carry my very heavy luggage up the stairs! There are also stairs you must walk to get from the drop off point to the apartment, but that is expected being in the walled city. Amazing stay!

Wonderful location in basic apartment. Incredible location. AC, which was desperately needed, was great.
What could be improved: As others have mentioned, the small, fold-out couch in the second bedroom was uncomfortable. And the table took up the entire other room so no room for seating of any kind.
Amazing stay amazing location thank you so much. The location was amazing couldn’t of wished fir a better place in the old town, the apartment had everything you needed and was spotless. What could be improved: As is typical staying within the walled city, be aware of steps to reach your accommodation, esp. with heavy luggage. If you’re are physically challenged, such accommodation will pose a hardship.
