Room Annette keeps things simple — this isn’t about fancy amenities or sprawling lobbies. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, with that typical Dalmatian stone-and-wood aesthetic that feels authentically Croatian rather than trying too hard. The windows open onto the street below, and honestly, the sounds of people wandering by become part of the experience. Air conditioning works well (crucial during those sweltering July afternoons), and the Wi-Fi is solid enough for staying connected.

Early morning, you’ll hear the delivery trucks rumbling over cobblestones — then by evening, the street fills with that perfect mix of tourists discovering hidden restaurant gems and locals heading home from work. They pointed me toward this tiny konoba where I had the best black risotto of my trip. The apartment layout maximizes comfort in a compact footprint.

• Centrally located apartment – Juliet from United Kingdom – 3 July 2025 (8/10)

  This air conditioned apartment was very centrally located in the old city. We did not meet the host or any member of staff which was a bit strange. The main front door key is left in a lockbox by the front door for each of the apartments to use and keys to individual apartments are in lockboxes by each door.
  Vouchers are provided for a simple breakfast which is served in a nearby cafe.
  
  What could be improved: No contact with the host was a bit strange as there was no one to ask for advice on local facilities.
  The breakfast was not very special.

  Location is great – in the very heart of the old city. Loved a small kitchen, had all the needed utilities, communication with the staff was great.
