Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Room Eddie on Prijeko, I almost walked right past it. The entrance is pretty understated, which is actually refreshing in a city where every other place is trying to scream “boutique hotel” at you. But once you’re inside, you get it. This place has that perfect balance of being polished enough for a proper vacation but not so fancy that you feel weird coming back after a sweaty day climbing the city walls.

The location is what really sells it, though. Prijeko is this narrow little street that runs parallel to the main drag (Stradun), but it’s where all the locals actually hang out. You’re literally a two-minute walk from all the touristy stuff – I mean, you can practically touch the cathedral from here – but at night when the day-trippers clear out, you’ll hear actual conversations in Croatian drifting up from the restaurants below instead of just camera clicks. The rooms themselves are honestly better than I expected for a 4-star place in Old Town. I stayed there in late September, and even with the windows open, the stone walls kept everything surprisingly cool. You know what impressed me most? The bathroom actually had decent water pressure, which… if you’ve stayed in old European buildings before, you know that’s not always a given.

Here’s the thing about staying right in Old Town – yes, it gets busy during the day, but Room Eddie is tucked just enough off the main tourist circuit that you won’t have cruise ship groups trampling past your window at 7 AM. The staff clearly knows the area inside and out; they pointed me toward this tiny wine bar called D’Vino that I never would have found on my own, and when I mentioned wanting to catch the sunset somewhere less crowded than the usual spots, they directed me to this little viewpoint near Fort Lovrijenac that was absolutely perfect. Parking is… well, it’s Dubrovnik Old Town, so forget about parking anywhere nearby. But they’ll sort you out with directions to the lots outside Pile Gate, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t need a car anyway. The 8.3 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it nails all the important stuff and the location alone makes it worth booking. Just don’t expect a pool or room service; this is more about giving you a comfortable base to explore one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

  Perfect location in the centre of the old city. Can get anywhere easily. Plenty of restaurants around. Clean and comfortable room with easy access. Good communication from the hosts. Very pleasant stay!
  
  What could be improved: The room is in the same building as the restaurant and sometimes the restaurant staff was noisy when closing down after 11pm which could disturb sleep if you go to bed early.

  Perfect location within the old town. Major tourist attractions are within 15 min walk.
  Plenty of restaurants and shops around.
  
  Room is huge and clean with a queen bed, also equipped with a mini kitchen (but no cooking appliances, just an electric kettle), big wardrobe, and a couple of armchairs.
  
  Bathroom is just the right size and clean.
  
  What could be improved: You have to pay online a refundable breakage deposit of 70 Euro which will be communicated via email a day before check in date. If you do not pay this, you will not be provided with the access code to the main building and room doors. Refund of this deposit will take up to 7 days after check out.
  
  As a consequence of being located inside the old town, you have to navigate a series of steep staircases from the nearest old town gate (Buza Gate). It is a strenuous undertaking if you are carrying a medium-large suitcase because you have to lift the suitcase while going down the very long staircases. Going up is doubly hard when you leave the apartment to go to the nearest taxi pick up point at Buza Gate. I suggest if you book this apartment, use Pile Gate as the drop off or pick up point to Old Town, where the route to the apartment is mostly flat or ramped, and there's only one flight of stairs to climb, compared to at least 5 flights of steep staircases from Buza Gate.
  
  There are no basic toiletries provided in the bathroom, so bring your own soap and shampoo.

  The location was excellent, the room was very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was cety good, served in a nearby cafe. Every time I had a question, the contact was easy and replies were fast.

  Room Eddie was perfect! It is localed in the main center of Dubrovnik, close to the Pile Gate. Clean and comfortable! Nice staff very helpful to arrange a taxi for departure, taking us to the exact point for the pick up. We recommend to pay breakfast extra, as it was arranged with a Restaurant at the main Street.

  La habitación está muy bien ubicada en una zona muy linda y céntrica en el centro histórico. Es amplia y cómoda.
  
  What could be improved: Una sola llave para entrar y salir del edificio para todos los huéspedes que queda en un locker, no había luz en el pasillo, la cerradura se trababa todo el tiempo y le falta algo de luz natural.

  Étant donné que le logement se trouve dans les petites rues , pensez que vous ne pouvez pas y accéder en voiture , il faut donc prendre les valises depuis l’entrée de la vieille ville jusqu’au logement
  Service de bagagerie inclus et cela rend bien service lorsque l’on arrive avant l’heure du Check in
