Rooms Eden Old Town Overview
First Impressions
Walking through the narrow stone streets of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, you might almost miss Rooms Eden Old Town — and that’s actually part of its charm. Tucked away on Od Pustijerne street, this intimate property feels more like discovering a local secret than checking into a typical tourist accommodation. The building itself has that weathered Adriatic stone look that makes you feel like you’re staying in someone’s carefully restored family home rather than a commercial hotel.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, the location here is pretty much unbeatable if you want to be right in the thick of things. You’re literally steps away from the Stradun (that’s the main pedestrian street everyone walks down), but Od Pustijerne is just quiet enough that you won’t hear every tour group passing by at 7 AM. I mean, couples consistently rate this spot a 9.9 for good reason — you can stumble back from dinner at any of the nearby restaurants without navigating those steep stone steps that’ll test your ankles after a long day of sightseeing. The city walls are practically on your doorstep, and you know what? That saves you the morning crowd-fighting just to get to the main attractions.
The Accommodation
The room setup here is refreshingly straightforward — no fancy frills, but everything you actually need is there and works well. What struck me most was how they’ve managed to blend modern comfort with the old-world architecture without making it feel forced or touristy. The stone walls keep things cool during those sweltering summer afternoons (trust me, Dubrovnik gets hot), and the windows — well, depending on which room you get — offer glimpses of either the surrounding medieval streets or neighboring terracotta rooftops that make for decent morning coffee moments.
Daily Life & Practicalities
Getting around from here is actually simpler than you’d expect for such a central spot. The Old Town is completely pedestrian-only anyway, so parking isn’t something you’ll deal with inside the walls — there are lots just outside if you’re driving. What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to know the neighborhood rhythms. They’ll tell you which restaurant gets crowded when, or suggest the best time to walk the walls without feeling like you’re in a parade. These kinds of local insights make a difference when you’re trying to experience the city rather than just photograph it.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the kind of place where you’ll spend much time lounging around the property — and that’s exactly the point. You’re staying here because you want to be immersed in one of Europe’s most stunning medieval cities, not hiding away in some resort bubble. The 9.3 rating reflects what most people discover: sometimes the best accommodation is the one that gets out of your way and lets the destination shine. When you can walk to dinner, explore the fortifications, and still feel like you’re staying somewhere with character rather than just another tourist box, well — that’s when a trip starts feeling like something special rather than just another vacation.

Only a few minutes walk from the Ploce Gate and only one small set of stairs (unlike most places which require hiking up several long staircases) to reach. Absolutely perfect location with all the major sites, restaurants, port, and beaches within a few minutes walk. The room was very clean and our hostess was very accommodating and helpful. The room has A/C, safe, refrigerator, shower, and a view of the cathedral.
The accommodation contributed to a very enjoyable trip – Peter from United Kingdom – 16 September 2024 (10/10)
The location was excellent, with several attractions nearby, but quickly became quiet at night
