Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of places around Dubrovnik, and San Salvatore Sweet Apartments honestly surprised me. When I first pulled up to 46 Bosanka, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star spot – I mean, you know how these apartment places can be hit or miss. But walking into the lobby, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about this place. The staff remembered my name by day two, which sounds small but really isn’t when you’re dealing with Croatian hospitality (which can be… let’s say inconsistent during peak season).
The location is what really got me though. Bosanka street is one of those areas where you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the cruise ship chaos that descends on the old town every morning around 9 AM. You can actually walk to Pile Gate in maybe 15 minutes – I timed it because I’m weird like that – and there’s this little bakery about three blocks down that locals hit up for morning coffee. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious, and I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with the “Croatian coastal” theming that makes some places feel like tourist traps. Clean lines, decent Wi-Fi (crucial for me), and the air conditioning actually works, which honestly isn’t a given in this part of the world during July and August.
What really sealed the deal for me was the practical stuff nobody talks about in reviews. Parking – they’ve got it figured out, which is basically a miracle in Dubrovnik. The walls are thick enough that you don’t hear your neighbors’ entire life story, and the kitchenette is actually functional if you want to grab groceries from the Konzum down the street instead of paying restaurant prices every meal. The building sits on a slight hill, so some rooms get these glimpses of the Adriatic that you wouldn’t expect from the street view. I mean, it’s not a full-on sea view, but there’s something nice about catching that blue between the buildings during sunset. The 9.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the Grand Villa Argentina, but it delivers on what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. For the price point, especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights, it’s the kind of place where you can settle in and actually feel like you’re living in Dubrovnik rather than just passing through.

Lovely host. Location is on top of the mountain but the 20-min walk to the old town is just stunning. Worth the distance.

Superb – Yunjie from Canada – 6 November 2024 (9/10)
This was the best place we've had in this trip to Italy and Crotia. The washing machine comes with detergent pods. The room is quite newly renovated with modern kitchen and bathroom.
Rosie was really helpful and responsive to our queries. There was a heavy rain the first night we arrived and the rain water came through the door. Rosie came with towels to wipe it for us the next morning.Very good – 西瓜子弹 from China – 6 October 2024 (8/10)

What could be improved: NoOverall, a good place to rest after exploring the city! – Laura from United States – 28 August 2024 (9/10)
Property was a bit out of town and we found out the hard way that they bus was not running during our stay when the schedule said it should be. Overall the place was great, just not super easy to get to town! AC felt wonderful.
What could be improved: Wasted time sitting at the bus stop when it would have been easier to just take an Uber. Nothing bad to say about the property itself!
