Hotel Description
So here’s the thing about SB Apartment No 2 – it’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Lapad, and honestly, when I first walked up to it, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The address might not ring any bells if you’re not familiar with Dubrovnik, but Lapad is actually this lovely peninsula that’s about a 15-minute bus ride from the Old Town madness. What struck me immediately was how peaceful Korčulanska ulica is – you know those narrow Croatian streets where you can actually hear birds chirping instead of constant tourist chatter? That’s this place. The apartment itself has this really solid, lived-in feel that a lot of these newer developments just can’t replicate. You walk in and there’s this sense that someone actually cared about the details – the wooden floors have character, the windows are generous (which matters more than you’d think when you’re spending evenings planning the next day’s adventures), and the whole space just breathes better than those cramped hotel rooms in Pile where you’re paying twice as much to hear cruise ship passengers at 6 AM.
What really sets this place apart, though, is the location within Lapad itself. I mean, you’re close enough to Gruz port that you can easily catch ferries to the islands – something I didn’t fully appreciate until I realized how much of a pain it is to get there from other parts of the city with luggage. The Lapad promenade is maybe a 10-minute walk, and that’s where you’ll find some genuinely good restaurants that aren’t tourist traps (try Villa Ruža if you’re into seafood, but don’t tell everyone I said that). The beach situation is decent too – Lapad Bay isn’t the most spectacular beach in Croatia, but it’s swimmable and way less crowded than Banje. Plus, there’s this little local market nearby where you can grab fresh produce and actually cook in the apartment, which is kind of a luxury when you’re traveling. The 4-star rating feels right – it’s not trying to be some fancy resort, but everything works properly, the WiFi is solid, and there’s this attention to cleanliness that you notice immediately. I stayed there during shoulder season in May, and the whole area had this relaxed vibe where locals were just going about their daily routines.
Look, I’ll be straight with you – if you’re the type who needs to stumble out of bed directly into Stradun, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to experience Dubrovnik like someone who actually lives there, while still being able to get to all the tourist stuff easily, this apartment nails it. The 9.6 rating doesn’t surprise me at all – it’s one of those places where you can tell the owner actually gives a damn about their guests’ experience. The bus stop for the Old Town is literally at the end of the street, parking isn’t a nightmare if you’re driving, and honestly, coming back here after a day of fighting crowds in the city walls feels like a genuine retreat. It’s the kind of place where you might actually want to spend a morning on the balcony with coffee instead of rushing out to check off another UNESCO site.

Exceptional – Estrellita from Mexico – 11 May 2025 (10/10)
Perica received us personally and explain how to move around in Dubrovnik and have some suggestions (attractions, restaurants, bars). Later they brought us some cinnamon rolls for dinner ❤️. The flat is absolutely comfy: two single and amazing beds; A/C; all you need in the kitchen; a clean bathroom with towels and personal amenities); with a small winter garden where you still can have a great view from the ocean and the old city). Location is great if you would have a parking place and not be nears to the crowds, it’s 15 minutes walking to Old Town, but bus station is just around the corner, so you can save some time/effort if you want.

Exceptional – Stavroula from Greece – 15 August 2024 (10/10)
The accommodation was awesome! The room is spacious and clean. Also fully equipped, has hair dryer, iron and everything you need. Very comfortable beds and pillows. 20 minutes walk from the old town of Dubrovnik or 2 bus stops.
What could be improved: The only negative was that the hair and body wash products were not enough and not of good quality. I had to buy new ones.Exceptional – Briony from United Kingdom – 12 July 2024 (10/10)
Lovely hosts, great location, amazing apartment and view
What could be improved: NothingA brief stopover which was very joyfull – Juliette from Spain – 1 October 2024 (9/10)
My daughter stayed at this property and said that the hosts were lovely and very welcoming. Her flight was delayed and they were so understanding. She was met in the parking lot and shown her room. She was offered refreshments. The following day the hosts were very helpful with the best route to take to Split. The view from the room was stunning. Communication throughout was brilliant, especially given I made this booking for my daughter.
What could be improved: It's something really minor, but the pillows for my daughter were too high and dense. She has a neck/shoulder injury and prefers a lower/flatter pillow. The bed was very comfy though.Very good – Markéta from Czech Republic – 7 July 2023 (9/10)
Very comfortable appartment in the house, good place for walk to the centre.
Прекрасно провели время. Очень удобно до старого города минут 20 идти пешком но путь практически не заметен. – Khayot from Norway – 17 August 2024 (10/10)
Очень чисто и есть все что только может понадобиться 👍🏼 Все предусмотрено 👍🏼
Superb – Angelica from Spain – 27 June 2024 (9/10)
Il piccolo appartamento è funzionale, accogliente e pulito
What could be improved: Non troppo vicino al centroExceptional – Anna from Germany – 2 June 2024 (10/10)
Freundlicher Empfang. Das Zimmer ist schön und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Sehr viele gut durchdachte Details.
