Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of Dubrovnik apartments over the years, and this one on Jelačića street actually surprised me. When I first walked in, honestly, the space felt way bigger than I expected – four proper bedrooms that don’t feel like afterthoughts, which is rare in these old Lapad buildings. The owner clearly knows what travelers need because there’s this thoughtful attention to detail everywhere, from the kitchen setup (actually usable, not just decorative) to the way the living room flows without feeling cramped.

What really sold me on this place was the location, though. You’re tucked into residential Lapad, which means you get that authentic Croatian neighborhood vibe – you know, locals walking their dogs in the morning, the smell of coffee drifting from nearby cafes, kids playing in the small park just around the corner. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize: you’re still only about a 15-minute walk to Gruz port and maybe 20 minutes to the old town if you take the coastal path. I mean, sure, there are closer places, but this spot gives you breathing room from the tourist chaos while keeping everything accessible. The bus stop is literally two blocks away, and those local buses run constantly during the day.

The apartment itself feels lived-in but well-maintained – I’m talking about real comfort, not just Instagram-worthy furniture. The beds are actually comfortable (tested this extensively), the shower has proper water pressure, and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook with ingredients from the Gruž market. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even with the windows open. Lapad doesn’t have that constant buzz of tour groups and late-night partying that you get closer to Stradun. Plus, parking isn’t the nightmare it is in other parts of the city – there’s usually street parking available, and the owner gave me some insider tips about the best spots. During peak summer months it gets trickier, but honestly, that’s true everywhere in Dubrovnik. The whole experience just felt more like staying in someone’s well-loved home rather than a sterile rental property, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to settle in for more than just a quick weekend.

  Our stay in Dubrovnik was made even more memorable thanks to the incredible host, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a seamless experience. One of our friends was stuck at Tivat Airport in Montenegro, and without hesitation, the host offered to drive the 2.5-hour round trip to pick him up. The compensation for this last-minute request was very reasonable, which we really appreciated.
  
  In addition to being extremely helpful with transport, the host was always available via WhatsApp and offered to assist with restaurant bookings and tour reservations, which is a great service for those who need it. He can also pick you up from Dubrovnik airport for reasonable rates
  
  As for the apartment, it’s perfect for larger groups. It’s fully equipped with everything you might need, including a laundry machine, three bathrooms, and even mini-fridges in most of the rooms. The space is clean, comfortable, and absolutely worth the money we paid.
  
  The location is about a 15-minute walk from the city center, but buses are available if you prefer not to walk. A small thing to note is that the apartment is on the second floor with no elevator, but this wasn’t an issue for us.
  
  Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Dubrovnik. Thank you again to our wonderful host for going the extra mile—literally!

  We visited beautiful dubrovnik from the 22nd to the 26th of September. We were a party of 7 women. After a mix up with previous accomadation we booked this accommodation very last minute and we were so glad we did. We accepted the offer of an airport transfer from the owner and he met us with a great welcome at arrivals . On arriving to the apartment we were delighted with our accommodation with ample space including 3 bathrooms with showers. It was clean and well presented. Stjepan stayed long enough to point out directions to everywhere we could visit and offered the possibility of a boat trip in the area taking in 3 local islands. We took him up on this and had a wonderful time which included a delicious locally produced lunch. He also provided us with several taxi journeys at a very fair price. The apartment is ideally located within walking distance to the old town, Harbour and a beach. We would whole heartedly recommend this accomadation and would like to thank Stjepan for enhancing our holiday experience.

  Stijepo welcomed us friendly and very nicely. The appartment is great, clean, nicely and functionally furnished. It is on the 2nd floor and there is no lift, but it is OK.
  Stijepo booked for us and accompanied us to a very nice restaurant.

  Great location from the old town, 15 minutes walking with very nice beaches in the surroundings. The apartment is spacious and with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it is very comfortable for a group of 7. The host is very friendly and provides great recommendations on what to see and do as well as really nice one day trips from Dubrovnik. He even picked us up from the airport what simplified our arrival.

  Bardzo ładny apartament. Byliśmy w 8 osób. Spełnił nasze oczekiwania. Wszystko było tak jak w ofercie. Czysto. Apartament duży, 3 łazienki przy takiej grupie to ogromny plus. Blisko market Maxi Konzum. Blisko do Starego Miasta. Pobyt bardzo udany. Właściciel pomocny. Skorzystaliśmy z możliwości odbioru i transportu na lotnisko. Polecam.
