The kitchen isn’t just for show – I mean, you can actually cook a proper meal there, and there’s enough counter space that you’re not playing Tetris with your groceries. The bedrooms are set up so you’re not hearing every conversation from the next room, which matters more than you’d think when you’re traveling with friends or family. Honestly, the whole place feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental property. The furniture isn’t fancy, but it’s comfortable and functional – that lived-in feeling that makes you want to kick off your shoes and settle in for more than just a night.

Now, about the location – this is where it gets interesting. Ulica Andrije Hebranga isn’t right in the thick of Old Town (which, between you and me, can be a blessing during peak season when the cruise ships dump thousands of tourists onto those narrow streets). You’re actually in a more residential area where you’ll hear Croatian being spoken in the morning instead of just camera shutters clicking. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Pile Gate, which sounds like a trek but it’s actually perfect – close enough that you can easily pop back for a midday break, far enough that you can escape the tourist chaos when you need to. Plus, there’s a decent grocery store nearby on Zagrebačka, so you don’t have to hunt for basics.

The 7.8 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it delivers on what matters. I noticed the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the apartment (not always a given in these older buildings), and the bathroom has proper water pressure, which you’ll definitely appreciate after a day of climbing those Old Town stairs. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the street can get a bit noisy in the early morning with local traffic, but honestly, if you’re coming to Dubrovnik and expecting perfect silence, you’re probably in the wrong city anyway. The energy here is part of the charm – you’ll fall asleep to the sound of people living their lives, not just tourists passing through.
