You know what caught me off guard about Studio Apartman Blue View? The name actually delivers – there really is a gorgeous blue view, and honestly, it’s better than I expected from a 3-star place. I mean, when you’re staying on Ulica Gorica Svetog Vlaha in Lapad, you’re sort of betting on whether you’ll get lucky with the scenery, and this one definitely hit the jackpot. The studio faces out toward the water, and if you time it right in the morning with your coffee, you get that perfect Adriatic blue that makes you forget you’re checking emails.

The location is actually pretty smart – Lapad’s got this residential feel that most tourists miss because they’re all crammed into the Old Town. You’re about a 15-minute bus ride from the main action (the bus stop’s literally around the corner), but here’s the thing: you can walk to some really decent beaches without fighting crowds. Lapad Bay is right there, and there’s this little coastal path that locals use for evening walks. The apartment itself is clean and functional – nothing fancy, but the kitchenette actually works properly, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve stayed. The bathroom’s small but well-designed, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. I did notice some street noise in the early morning – garbage trucks and such – but it dies down pretty quickly.

What I really appreciated was how the owner clearly knows the area. Check-in was smooth, and they gave me actual useful tips about where to grab groceries (there’s a small market just down the hill) and which restaurant nearby serves decent seafood without tourist prices. The Wi-Fi worked consistently, which matters when you’re trying to stay connected. Look, it’s not luxury – the furnishings are basic and there’s no air conditioning, just fans – but for the price point and that 8.2 rating, it makes sense. You’re paying for the location and the view, not marble countertops. If you’re the type who wants to experience Dubrovnik without staying in a hotel that could be anywhere in the world, and you don’t mind being a short ride from the main tourist chaos, this place delivers exactly what it promises. Just pack light – the stairs up to the building are a bit steep, and there’s no elevator.

  The view was as incredible has the photos show. Also, the condition of the apartment with AC, fully equipped kitchen, were also a great topic.
  One of the things we valued the most was the availability of the staff for all questions, and the kindness on leaving us some welcome biscuits 😉
  Also in a city with so expensive car parking, being able to park for free 25/30 minutes from Pile Gate we found it awesome.

  V handy for new marina, shops, walks. Beaches not to far if happy to stroll. Handy buses. Well appointed, good communication, a great stay.
