Look, I’ll be straight with you about Studio Apartment Bojodo – this place punches way above its 3-star rating, and honestly, I think that’s exactly why it works so well. It’s tucked away on Ulica Žrtava s Dakse in Lapad, which if you haven’t been to Dubrovnik before, is this quieter residential area that actually feels like where locals live rather than tourist central. The walk to Old Town takes maybe 20 minutes if you’re moving at a decent pace, but here’s the thing – you’ll want to grab the bus that runs pretty regularly, especially in summer when it’s blazing hot. The apartment itself has this understated charm that grows on you. It’s not trying to be fancy, but everything just… works. The studio layout is smarter than you’d expect, with enough space that you don’t feel cramped, and the kitchen setup is actually functional – I mean, you can cook a proper meal here, not just heat up leftovers.

What really sold me on this place was the neighborhood vibe. You know how some areas feel like they shut down after tourist hours? Not here. There’s a little market just down the street where locals do their shopping, and I swear the woman who runs it remembered my terrible Croatian pronunciation of “hvala” by day three. The Lapad peninsula has this relaxed energy that’s completely different from the intensity of Stradun and the old city walls. You’ll hear actual conversations in Croatian, not just English and German bouncing off ancient stones. The beach situation is solid too – Lapad Bay is walkable, and while it gets busy during peak season, early morning or late afternoon it’s pretty perfect for a swim. One thing that surprised me was how quiet it gets at night. I’m usually a light sleeper, but the residential streets here don’t get the party crowds that spill out from the old town bars.

The 9.4 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s not about luxury, it’s about getting the details right. Check-in was smooth, the WiFi actually worked (you’d be surprised how many places mess this up), and the bed was comfortable enough that I wasn’t counting ceiling cracks at 2 AM. If you’re the type who needs to be in the thick of tourist action 24/7, this might feel too removed. But if you want to experience Dubrovnik like someone who actually lives here, while still being close enough to hit all the must-sees, this studio hits that sweet spot perfectly. Plus, you’ll save money compared to staying inside the old town walls, and trust me, after a day of navigating cruise ship crowds, you’ll appreciate having a calm base to return to.

  Lovely modern apartment in a great location for Lapad beach, restaurants. A bus stop for Old Town is very close by, so access easy.. Close to facilities but in a quiet location so noise not an issue.

  The apartment is very nice and comfortable for two people. It was quite clean and had all the necessities. Warm water all day long. Dolores the owner was nice gave us all the help we wanted. The price was great.
  
  What could be improved: There is construction behind the room right now but most of the time it was quiet. There are many stares to the room so it is a little difficult to carry the luggage but the owner kindly helped us with that.

  Úžasná lokalita, klidné místo poblíž parku, vlastní balkón s houpačku. Potěšila mě SOS nudlová polévka k dispozici po nočním cestovní a brzkém ranním příjezdu a velmi oceňuji možnost dřívějšího ubytování a prodloužení pobytu nap okoji při odjezdu. Hostitelka velmi dobře komunikuje, je vstřícná a ráda poradí, s čímkoli je potřeba.

  Прекрасні апартаменти із чудовими господарями.Нам залишили пляшечку вина у подарунок:) Також нам надали мильні засоби, у номері навіть були мати для пляжу(що супер зручно адже не потрібно витрачати на це додаткові кошти). Розташування дуже зручне.Поруч зупинка автобусу ,пляж 5 хвилин,магазин 3 хв.

  Ottima posizione a pochi minuti a piedi dalle spiagge e tutti servizi (bar, ristoranti, supermercati e fermata dell' autobus). Appartamento molto carino, pulito, dotato di tutti i comfort, anche nei più piccoli dettagli. La proprietaria molto disponibile e gentile.
