Studio Rimac Overview
You know what struck me first about Studio Rimac? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Ploče – honestly, I almost walked past it because it doesn’t scream “tourist accommodation.” But that’s actually its biggest strength. While everyone else is crammed into the Old Town dealing with cruise ship crowds and inflated prices, you’re in this authentic neighborhood where locals actually live and work. The walk to Dubrovnik’s walls takes maybe 15 minutes along the waterfront, which I ended up loving because you get these incredible morning views across to Lokrum Island without fighting for space.
The studio itself is surprisingly well thought out – I mean, whoever designed this place actually gets how travelers live. There’s proper counter space in the kitchenette (not just some sad mini-fridge situation), and the bed doesn’t take up the entire room like so many European studios do. The bathroom’s compact but functional, with decent water pressure, which honestly matters more than fancy marble when you’re washing salt out of your hair after a day at Banje Beach. What really impressed me was how quiet it stays at night – Maestra Đela Jusića isn’t a through street, so you’re not dealing with late-night revelers stumbling back from Stradun. The building itself feels solid and well-maintained, not like some of those hastily converted apartments you see everywhere now.
Here’s the thing about staying in Ploče – you’re positioned perfectly between the historic stuff and the modern conveniences. There’s a decent grocery store about three blocks away (Konzum, if you know the chain), and honestly, picking up fresh bread and local cheese for breakfast became part of my daily routine. The bus stop for airport transfers is close enough that you won’t be dragging luggage uphill, which anyone who’s been to Dubrovnik knows is a real consideration. I stayed here during shoulder season in October, and while the summer months probably get busier, the whole area maintains this residential calm that you just can’t find inside the city walls. The 9.7 rating makes total sense – it’s not trying to be a luxury experience, but it nails everything it sets out to do. For the price point and location, you’re getting way more value than those cramped Old Town apartments that cost twice as much and come with medieval plumbing.

Reviews of Studio Rimac
Exceptional – Xin from Singapore – 9 June 2025 (10/10)
We had a fantastic stay! The room was very clean, cozy, and had everything we needed—including Netflix, which was a great bonus for relaxing in between outings. The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk to the old town of Dubrovnik, which made it super easy to pop out for lunch or a stroll, then come back to rest before heading out again.
Stan was an amazing host—very kind and accommodating. He let us store our luggage before check-in and after check-out, which really helped us make the most of our time. He was also incredibly responsive, answering all our questions about restaurants and transportation quickly and thoughtfully.
A real highlight was the private boat tour Stan arranged for us to the Elaphiti Islands. It was both affordable and luxurious, and Stan was the perfect guide—sharing history, stories, and helping us to avoid the crowds. You can tell he’s very experienced and passionate about what he does.
Highly recommend staying here!Still worth it, recommend it if you don’t mind the darkness in the room and brightness during sleep – Yu from Hong Kong – 4 June 2025 (9/10)
Great location, newly renovated and big space.
Only that not bright enough because of lack of windows.
One thing bad was ppl smoking right next to the window and all the smell came through the window
What could be improved: Too dark and no curtain for the doorVery good. – Tianhong from Singapore – 23 May 2025 (10/10)

The property is very conveniently located with easy access to supermarkets, restaurants and the main attractions. The area is also safe during the night and with the bus stop just a few minutes away.
Check in/out process was very easy and Stanko was responsive to my messages and very hospitable.
The studio is very cosy, clean, had all the essentials and comfortable. I will definitely be back for my next trip to Dubrovnik.Overall, a great stay in a well-located, clean, and well-equipped property with a very helpful host. – Oreste from Spain – 22 March 2025 (10/10)
Great location, just a short walk from two gates to the Old Town. The property was clean, well-equipped, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The owner was extremely helpful, quickly resolving an internet issue and kindly offering to store our luggage after checkout until our taxi to the airport.
What could be improved: The bed was a bit firm—not an issue for me, but some might find it too hard.I will stay at here next time – Qian from China – 9 March 2025 (10/10)
It is only 2 minute walk from the shuttle bus station from the airport, and 1 minute to the old town, The boss always give comfortable help, give me instruction before my arrival, provide some oil when i finished the olive oil in the room, let me keep the luggage on the terrace before i leave
What could be improved: No, perfect
