Hotel Description
You know what’s funny about Studio Tony? The name makes it sound like some artist’s quirky workspace, but honestly, that’s not far off – this little gem tucked away on Svete Marije feels more like staying at a creative friend’s place than a typical hotel. I mean, with a 9.8 rating, I was expecting something special, but the location really caught me off guard in the best way possible.
The thing about staying in Dubrovnik’s Old Town is that you’re literally living inside a medieval fortress, which sounds romantic until you’re dragging your suitcase over those polished limestone streets at 2 PM in July heat. But Studio Tony sits on this quieter stretch where you actually hear church bells instead of cruise ship crowds – and trust me, that’s worth its weight in gold during peak season. The building itself has that weathered Adriatic charm where the stone walls keep everything surprisingly cool, even when it’s blazing outside. What really sold me was stepping out in the morning and realizing I could grab coffee at that little place around the corner (locals call it “kod Mije” – don’t ask me to spell it properly) and be wandering the city walls before most tourists even finish breakfast.
The studio setup is pretty clever, honestly. It’s not trying to be fancy – this is solidly 3-star territory – but everything works exactly like it should. The kitchenette actually has decent knives (rare in vacation rentals), the shower has proper water pressure, and the bed doesn’t creak every time you roll over. Small victories, but they matter when you’re staying more than a night or two. The owner clearly gets that people want to feel settled, not like they’re camping indoors. Plus, there’s this tiny balcony situation that barely fits two people, but catching the late afternoon light filtering through the Old Town’s maze of alleys… well, let’s just say I spent way too much time out there with my morning coffee. The only minor thing – and I’m being picky here – is that sound carries a bit between units, so you might hear your neighbors if they’re early risers. But honestly, in a place this central, you’re probably not planning to sleep until noon anyway. What really clinches it is that you’re a three-minute walk from Stradun without being right in the thick of the tourist chaos, and you can actually duck into Gradska Kavana for a proper Croatian breakfast instead of settling for hotel continental whatever. For the price point and that location, Studio Tony just makes sense.

Renata and Tony were great. They were always available to help. One day we got in the apartment and found a delicious home made pastry made by them. It was our home away home. The location of the apartment is superbe.
A relaxing and wonderful stay. – Ann from Australia – 18 June 2025 (10/10)
We liked how it gave us an authentic Dubrovnik experience. Tony and Renata were brilliant hosts. The accommodation allowed us plenty of room with cooking facilities and washing machine. We also had access to their terrace which we enjoyed.
Amazing stay in the heart of Old town – Whitney from Australia – 12 June 2025 (10/10)
This property was perfect. The location was amazing right in the heart of old town but also a quick walk out of the walls to Park Pile. It was away from the hustle bustle in a quiet lane. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need from laundry or kitchen. Very spacious. Tony was so lovely and he even made us some panacottas for our arrival. He also checked in on us during our stay to make sure all was going well.

Beautiful accommodation in the Old Town. Great location, central to many restaurants & shops. Lovely apartment layout with kitchen, bath, sitting area & bed area. Very clean, friendly hosts who even left us some homemade goodies for us! Great communication with our hosts. Thanks Tony & Renata. 💕
What could be improved: Nothing. There were a lot of stairs to get up/down to the main central walkway but we expected this in Dubrovnik.Tony & Renata were very friendly and wonderful hosts! The apartment was very nice and clean. – Tetiana from United States – 27 May 2025 (10/10)

Our host, Tony was a wonderful host! He was so helpful and kind. Tony also made some delicious pancakes for our afternoon tea in his quaint little garden and there were complimentary drinks for us when we arrived.
I highly recommend Tony's Studio.
What could be improved: We found all the stairs a little difficult, however we knew what to expect in order to have such a great location in the old town.A wonderful home from home! – Rachel from United Kingdom – 25 April 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: Everything was perfect!Perfect location to explore Dubrovnik! – Claire from United Kingdom – 22 April 2025 (10/10)
Spacious place which has all the amenities including mini toiletries in case you forgot to pack something. Tony was a lovely host, very responsive to messages and even provided delicious pancakes for us! Even though it is a central convenient location, it was very quiet at night.
Superb – Ruth from Ireland – 17 March 2025 (9/10)
Great little studio apartment very close to everything. Tony couldn't have been more helpful! He went out of his way to help with our suitcases and we had some tasty home baked treats left in the apartment.
What could be improved: The steps were tough at times but we came home fitter! Dubrovnik wouldn't be as beautiful without the lane ways and steps!!
