Look, I’ll be straight with you about this place in Lapad – it’s one of those spots that doesn’t try to be fancy, but honestly? That’s exactly what makes it work. The studio’s got this terrace that faces the sea, and I mean, when you’re sipping your morning coffee out there with the Adriatic stretching out in front of you, you’re not exactly thinking about thread counts or marble countertops.

The location is actually pretty smart if you know Dubrovnik at all. Lapad’s this peninsula that’s maybe a 15-minute bus ride from the Old Town madness, which means you get to escape the cruise ship crowds but you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere either. There’s this decent beach down the hill – Uvala Lapad – where locals actually go, not just tourists taking selfies. The apartment itself is what I’d call comfortably worn in. It’s got everything you need (the kitchenette’s small but functional, bathroom’s clean), and honestly, you’ll probably spend most of your time on that terrace anyway. The sea view isn’t some tiny sliver between buildings – it’s the real deal, especially if you catch sunset with a glass of local wine.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. During the day you’ll hear some traffic from the main road, but nothing crazy, and by evening it settles down to just the sound of waves. The walk to restaurants and that little grocery store is maybe five minutes, which is clutch when you realize you forgot sunscreen or want to grab some of those Croatian pastries for breakfast. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in summer – I mean, this is Dubrovnik after all – but there are spots if you’re patient. The whole area has this lived-in feel that I actually prefer to staying right in the Old Town where everything’s preserved and perfect but also sort of… sterile? Here you get glimpses of how people actually live, kids playing in the streets, that sort of thing. It’s a 3-star rating, and it feels like a solid 3-star – clean, comfortable, with that killer view that probably bumps it up a notch. For the price point, especially considering you’re getting your own space with a kitchen and that terrace, it’s honestly pretty reasonable for Dubrovnik standards.
