You know what immediately struck me about Tramuntana? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – it’s this perfectly positioned spot in Lapad where you can feel those northwest winds (that’s what tramuntana means) coming off the Adriatic, especially in the evenings when you’re sitting on one of the terraces. And honestly, that free parking thing in the name isn’t just marketing fluff – finding a decent place to leave your car in Dubrovnik is genuinely painful, so this is kind of a big deal.

The hotel sits on Žuljanska ulica, which is one of those quiet residential streets that locals love because it’s away from the tourist chaos but still walkable to everything. I mean, you’re maybe fifteen minutes on foot to the Old Town walls, but you’re also right near that lovely stretch of Lapad peninsula where families from Dubrovnik actually go to swim. The building itself has this understated Croatian coastal vibe – not trying too hard to be boutique-y, just solid and comfortable in that reliable three-star way. The rooms are clean and well-maintained (which honestly matters more than fancy amenities when you’re dealing with that humid summer heat), and the staff… well, they actually seem to know the neighborhood. When I asked about the best bakery for morning coffee, the front desk guy didn’t just point me toward the hotel restaurant – he told me about this little place two streets over where the locals grab their burek before work.

What really sets this place apart is how it fits into the actual rhythm of Dubrovnik life. You’re not stuck in some tourist bubble where everything’s overpriced and designed for cruise ship passengers. Instead, you can walk to Gruž market in the morning, take the bus to Pile Gate without dealing with parking nightmares, or just wander down to the rocky beaches where Croatian families spread their towels. The 9.5 rating makes sense when you think about it – this isn’t luxury, but it’s exactly what you want from a neighborhood hotel. Clean, quiet enough to sleep well (though you’ll hear some street life, which I actually found charming), and positioned so you can experience Dubrovnik like someone who lives there rather than just passing through on a Mediterranean cruise.

  The location was very fine. Just 3 Bus stops to the Old Town and it was very nice that it was very silent there. The staff was very friendly. Very nice appartement for 2 people. Parking was free in a garage 2 min walk from the appartement.

  The apartment was clean and modern and well situated for access to the Old City. Close to bus stops, restaurants, bars and supermarkets.
  
  What could be improved: The description of a private entrance was not the case. The entrance was shared and coming and going and noise of other guests affected our enjoyment of the property. Is is also not mentioned that it is on the first floor.
  There were a number of items listed that were missing.
  The sea view is only slightly visible from the outdoor terrace area and is more a harbour view.

  Izuzetno uredan apartman. Mali ali ima apsolutno sve što vam treba i više od toga. Vlasnica je ljubazna i ostavlja punu privatnost. Jako nas se dojmila igra koju smo pronašli u ormaru "ženo ne ljuti se" i potičem sve da ju isprobaju.

  Komfortowy apartament dla dwóch osób. Wyposażony we wszystko co niezbędne podczas podczas kilkudniowego pobytu w Dubrowniku. Bezproblemowy odbiór kluczy. Precyzyjne instrukcje od właściciela jak dotrzeć apartamentu. W bezpośredniej okolicy kilka sklepów, piekarnie oraz bardzo dobra restauracja. 100 metrów od apartamentu przystanek autobusowy, z którego w kilka minut można dostać się pod bramy starego miasta. Polecam!
  
  What could be improved: Nie mamy uwag. Jedyne do czego moglibyśmy się "przyczepić" to widok z okien… ale to drobiazg

  Die Unterkunft war sauber und das Bett sehr bequem. WLan/ Smart-TV und genügend Küchenutensilien vorhanden. Kurz vor der Ankunft wurden wir vom Vermieter über Whatsapp mit allen Infos versorgt.
  Die Unterkunft liegt in einem Wohnhaus und ist etwas abenteuerlich zu erreichen. Kostenfreie Parkplätze an der Unterkunft gab es nicht, aber auf Nachfrage bekamen wir eine Zugangskarte für eine Tiefgarage die in der Nähe war.
  
  What could be improved: Leider keine direkten Parkplätze an der Unterkunft und kein Meer/Hafenblick.

  Очень чистые новые апартаменты, где есть всё необходимое для комфортного отдыха. Логистически удобное местонахождение рядом с магазинами и местным рыбным рынком, до старого города и пляжей 3 остановки на автобусе.
  
  What could be improved: Балкон был закрыт на ремонт во время нашего пребывания. Но это не сильно повлияло на общее впечатление от апартаментов.

  El apartamento muy nuevo por dentro y muy limpio. El parking es amplio y soterrado en un edificio nuevo cercano con barrera de acceso.
  
  What could be improved: La ubicación no es precisa en booking y costo encontrarlo. Tuvimos que llamar varias veces.
