You know what struck me first about the Unique Treasure Apartment? The name actually fits – and that’s saying something, because most places with “unique” in the title are anything but. This spot sits right on Ulica Petra Zoranića in Lapad, which honestly might be one of the best-kept secrets for staying in Dubrovnik without the Old Town chaos.

I mean, Lapad peninsula is where locals actually go to relax. You’re maybe a 15-minute bus ride from all the Game of Thrones madness, but here you can actually hear yourself think. The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish Croatian aunt decided to rent out her place – there’s this perfect balance of local character and modern comfort that you just don’t get in those cookie-cutter hotels. The furnishings have personality without being cluttered, and honestly, the kitchen is better equipped than most rentals I’ve stayed in (which matters when you’re buying fresh fish from the morning market). The bathroom’s got one of those rainfall showers that actually works properly – small detail, but you know how it is.

What really sells this place though is the location knowledge you get. The hosts clearly know their stuff about the neighborhood, and they’re not just pointing you toward tourist traps. There’s this little bakery about three blocks down that opens at 6 AM – perfect for grabbing burek before the day-trippers arrive. The beach at Lapad Bay is literally a ten-minute walk, and it’s got that mix of pebbles and sand that’s way more comfortable than the rocky bits closer to the Old Town. Plus, parking here doesn’t require a PhD in spatial reasoning like it does in the historic center. The number 6 bus stops right nearby and runs regularly, so you’re connected but not suffocated by crowds.

The apartment gets this lovely cross-breeze in the evenings – something about how the building sits relative to the peninsula. You can keep the windows open most of the year, which I always prefer to cranking the AC. There’s also this little balcony that catches the morning sun perfectly if you’re the type who actually drinks coffee before noon. The whole building feels solid and quiet, none of that paper-thin wall nonsense where you hear every conversation from next door. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no standing around a lobby for twenty minutes while they “find your reservation.”

Look, 9.8 ratings usually make me suspicious because they seem too good to be true, but this place earned it. It’s not trying to be a luxury resort, it’s just doing everything right without making a big deal about it. The kind of place where you stop looking at your phone as much and start noticing things like how the light hits the trees on Zoranića street in the late afternoon. If you want to experience Dubrovnik like someone who actually lives here instead of just Instagramming it, this is your spot.

  Fabulous trip! This apartment was perfect for me, my husband and our two year old. It was on the ground floor with a garden / terrace which meant we could leave the doors open and all sit out or play out (without worrying about the little one falling downstairs). The apartment was light, spacious, comfortable, modern and spotless and had all the amenities you could need. The hot tub was a bonus! It felt like a home away from home! The location was perfect for walking down to the Lapad’s promenade, restaurants and the beach or catching the bus into Dubrovnik. Ognjen was also the perfect host – he provided a travel cot, all made up and met us at the property when we arrived in the evening to show us around, sent recommendations and also checked on us later in the trip.

  Perfect apartment with good size living and bedroom, well equipped kitchen and lovely bathroom. Patio with Jacuzzi was an added advantage. very near to the supermarket, beach and restaurants. although 4-5 mins walks to the Bus stop but we ended up using uber all the time as the prices were reasonable . The Host is a nice gentlemen who was always reachable over the WhatsApp for any suggestion/recommendation and was present to handover the keys.

  very close to beach, restaurant, shopping market for groceries. Host is super nice , provided us complimentary water bottles, wine , candies – which kids love. Hot water tub was nice too. Many other small but noticeable items like ipad controlled window blinds, lights etc etc …. whops we loved it . and highly recommend.

  The owner was very friendly and he waited for as to arrive, even if we were late. The view from the apartment was breathtaking and so cozy,we felt like home.

  The apartment is in an excellent location, just a short 5-minute walk to the bus stop and very close to Sunset Beach. It also has a cozy hot tub inside, which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a pleasant stay here with family for 3 nights.

  Stylish comfortable apartment, good location (beach is 4 min walk, supermarket 3 min), all necessary facilities, good kitchen, great A/C, 5⭐ to host, great parking (cool), very clean, nice terrace with bubble bath. Amazing cat sometimes visits the terrace 🙂

  Very clean and comfortable apartment everything looks new and luxurious , great staff also, we ran out of espresso capsules and the guy working here brought us another package immediately !! He is very communicative and friendly. Definitely worth every single penny…!
