Close to the beaches, big pool and plenty of sun beds/ chairs. Bus stop outside the hotel is a big plus!

The staff were so helpful. Every request was attended to promptly. I like that you can order a few items through the TV profile. I requested for late checkout and was pleased to be granted. The breakfast and dinner options were great with different options for dinner every night. Hotel very close to Copacabana beach just about 8mins walk and there's also a very well stocked souvenir shop and a couple of corner shops on site. The ability to use the sister hotel facilities is a good thing, especially the indoor pool and spa area. Maro world was a great hit with the kids. They spent all their time there.
What could be improved: One of the reasons I chose the hotel was that the outdoor pool had a big water slide for the kids, but it was out of service throughout our stay, unfortunately.
Location was excellent and the complex was so clean with so many amenities on the campus.
What could be improved: The only slight drawback is that the hotel can be quite loud and sound echoes alot throughout the building. The Maro World is brilliant but some of the virtual games on the trampolines or downstairs were not functioning properly and require work to fix the issues.
Breakfast was quite nice. İndoor and outdoor pool also nice for kids and families. Our 8 years old son enjoyed a lot in the maro park. If I have an another reservatıon I would probably choose the other valamar next to tirena which is a bit more luxirious. Two hotels are usıng together the indoor pool and game center. Spa and ındoor pool is in the other valamar game center is located in the tirena.

Very well organized for families but I found it very confortable and safe for middle aged women travelling alone like me. The hotel is also very beautiful and the rooms very confortable, with equipped balconies. The decor is minimalist and the colors relaxing. TV has various channels and cable tv and it is big. Everything was perfect. I loved the buffet restaurant with food for all tastes and very clean. Staff was extremely professional and friendly. Lots of activities and great pools.
It's perfect place for the family, they have so amazing playgrounds for the children and activities ❤️.The Food is as well so amazing 😀 we super happy with this place 😄 ☺️ 😊 and then the bed 💯 prosent completely comfortable just need little things to add for the bathroom, missing shampoo and conditioner. otherwise is soo amazing with everything. ..
Amazing hotel for kids (Maro World is the kids complex with lots of activities for all ages).

Really recommend Valamar Tirena, even more if you have children.

Breakfast was very good and a lot to choose from. Swimming pool area very nice and good for families.
Staff at the hotel friendly and the Oliva restaurant was good with good service. Easy to ride the bus in to Old town.
