The villa sits perfectly positioned in Ploče, which honestly might be the best neighborhood in Dubrovnik if you want to feel like you’re actually living in the city rather than just visiting it. I mean, you’re close enough to the Old Town that you can easily walk there, but far enough away that you escape the cruise ship crowds that can make the historic center feel like a theme park during peak hours. The location strikes an ideal balance between accessibility and tranquility.
Location & Neighborhood
The Ploče area is where locals actually want to live — it’s got that residential charm but with easy access to everything you came to Dubrovnik to see. Fabulous location just a short walk south of the old town. The views across to Lokrum island from our terrace were a great background to breakfast and early evening cocktails. Close to a great little beach that offered wonderful swimming with views across the bay to the old town. The apartment itself was very comfortable with quiet, effective air con plus evident investment in brand new coffee machine, cooker and dishwasher plus fabulous shower! Finally, there is Maja herself who was great leading up to the visit with excellent communication and also when we were there in terms of restaurant recommendations and reservations and the very welcome bottle of chilled wine on arrival. We spent 8 very contented days here.
What could be improved: Nothing. Only observation (and it is a small detail) the kitchen could perhaps do with a few more kitchen utensils as it would be difficult to to do anything beyond very basic meal preparation at the moment

Location was excellent for old city, beaches & supermarkets.
Accommodation was spotless! Had character. Very homely. The kitchen was modern with fridge, kettle, mini dishwasher etc. Air conditioning most welcome! Fabulous balcony views over the bay. Beautiful bathroom with lots of extras and 2 large bedrooms with king size beds & crisp white linen. Plenty of storage.
Hostess was exceptionally accommodating; couldn't do enough to help. Welcome wine & beer on arrival, chocolates on leaving. Arranged airport taxis for us. We were met and shown round on arrival & given they keys, and our luggage taken up to our apartment.
What could be improved: Fine for us, but the property would not suit anyone with mobility issues as there are lots of steps up to and around the apartment.
A minor detail - Kitchen would benefit from more plates, cups & cutlery to make using the dishwasher more economical.

Everything! Very large bedrooms, beautiful villa, high ceilings, lots of original features, comfy beds, air con, satellite tv. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Balconies with stunning sea views of Lokrum Island and old town in distance. Didn’t want to leave!
What could be improved: Really nothing, a minor consideration for perhaps a family who might prefer to cook is small kitchen facilities but for couples and those who prefer to eat out no problem at all.

The location was good, just 600m from the Old Town.
Lovely Host(ess) who could not be more pleasant, friendly and helpful.
Good sized apartment which was nicely decorated, furnished and air conditioned.

What could be improved: Rather narrow road without pavement for first 300m of walk to Old Town.
