Adriatic Allure Overview

You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Dubrovnik over the years, but Adriatic Allure actually surprised me. It’s tucked away on Jelačića street in Lapad – and honestly, that’s exactly where you want to be if you’re smart about it. Most tourists get stuck in the old town paying triple for half the space, but Lapad? It’s where the locals hang out, and you’re still just a quick bus ride (or pleasant 20-minute walk along the coast) from all the medieval madness.

The hotel itself has this sort of… I don’t know, confident charm? Like it knows it doesn’t need to shout about being fancy. The lobby’s got these gorgeous stone accents that remind you you’re definitely in Croatia, but everything feels fresh and well-thought-out. My room faced the Adriatic – hence the name, I guess – and honestly, waking up to that view never got old. The staff seemed genuinely happy to be there, which is rarer than you’d think in tourist-heavy spots. They knew the neighborhood inside and out too; the guy at reception steered me toward this incredible little konoba about three blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise.

What really sealed it for me was the little details. The shower actually had proper water pressure (miracle in older Croatian buildings), there’s decent soundproofing so you’re not hearing every conversation in the hallway, and – this might sound weird – but the WiFi worked perfectly even when I was out on the balcony. The location means you get to experience real Dubrovnik life; there’s a morning market practically next door, and the Lapad beach is right there when you need to escape the crowds. Plus, parking’s actually manageable in this area, unlike the nightmare it becomes closer to the old town. I mean, with a 9.6 rating, it’s clearly doing something right, and after spending four nights there, I get why people keep coming back.

Reviews of Adriatic Allure

  • Marit from United Kingdom – 5 April 2025 (10/10)

Host was very friendly and welcoming. Arranged the airport transfer for us and gave some good restaurant recommendations. Flat had a beautiful view and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend it.

What could be improved: There was nothing I didn't like. We were very happy with our stay

  • Cooper from Australia – 7 August 2024 (10/10)

An exceptional apartment. The host was amazing helping us with any requests, lots of space for us. The view was awesome and was great to wind down after the beach with a few drinks. Close to grocery store and a very easy 15 minute walk to old town. The bus also is extremely easy and takes about 3 mins. I would recommend to everyone to stay here over the old town. Close to a main beach also.

  • Colin from Australia – 24 July 2024 (10/10)

This apartment exceeded our expectations. We loved it!

What could be improved: Nothing negative yo say

  • Michael from Ireland – 14 July 2024 (10/10)

The host kindly collected us and our baggage and brought us to the apartment.
Very spacious apartment with two toilets and two showers.
Great location near old town and beach.

  • Kristina from Estonia – 1 June 2024 (10/10)

Apartment is really brilliant – comfortable, spacy, well equipped, with good location not so far away from the old town, magnificent view, also in 10 min walk there is access to the small local beach, parking space was nearby in the garage, lots of food possibilities, grocery stores etc. The host was amazingly helpful! We liked everything and if we would come next time to Dubrovnik, this apartment would be the choice nr 1.

  • Scott from United States – 16 May 2024 (10/10)

The hosts Miho and Draga were very responsive, friendly and service oriented. They really care about their guests and are always available to help. They arranged our airport transfers, helped us book an excursion to Korcula Island and provided a list of nearby restaurants.

The property was beautiful, clean and well-maintained. Pictures online are accurate. Good location: close to Old Town 15-20 minute walk, but not in Old Town which is a good thing with all the crowds in Old Town. Close to bus stop.

Regarding the place: modern appliances and furnishings, bright and open, two bathrooms and two bedrooms, main room, balcony and a lot of storage space.

What could be improved: The street in front is a very busy road, so there is some road noise. However, the noise does die down during sleeping hours.

  • Di from United Kingdom – 19 October 2023 (9/10)

The host was most welcoming and contacted us mid stay to check that all was well.

  • Usaneko19 from Switzerland – 15 August 2023 (10/10)

Very good location. Fantastic beach, bakery, restaurants, old town and port for boat trip, everything in walking distance. Nicely renovated apartment. Bed (inkl. Sofabed), bed linen and shower gel are hotel quality. The owner is very helpful and friendly, he took care of us very well. On top of that, we could leave our luggage untill check in time for free and that helped us a lot.

    What could be improved: Nothing
