You know what really struck me about Apartment Allure? The moment I walked up to the building on Zrinsko Frankopanska, I could tell this wasn’t going to be your typical tourist trap. The street itself is actually pretty quiet – which is saying something in Dubrovnik during summer – and you’re literally a five-minute walk from Stradun without dealing with all the cruise ship crowds that pile up right in the main square.

The place has this sort of understated elegance that I honestly wasn’t expecting from the photos. I mean, the apartments are genuinely spacious (and I’m not just saying that because I’m used to cramped European hotel rooms). The kitchen actually functions – like, you can prepare real meals, not just heat up instant noodles. The owner clearly put thought into the details too… there’s proper lighting for reading, the shower has decent water pressure, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing on your roof. Small things, but they matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. The balcony views vary depending on which unit you get, but even the ones facing the street have this charming peek-a-boo glimpse of the old town walls.

What really sold me on this place was the location intelligence behind it. You’re close enough to walk everywhere that matters – Pile Gate is maybe eight minutes on foot, and there’s a decent grocery store (Konzum) right around the corner on Branitelja Dubrovnika. But here’s the thing locals know: you’re positioned perfectly to avoid the absolute chaos that happens near the harbor when those massive cruise ships unload thousands of people at once. The building sits in this sweet spot where you feel connected to the action but you can actually get some sleep at night. Parking can be tricky in this area – honestly, it’s tricky everywhere in Dubrovnik – but the host was super helpful with suggestions, and there’s a public lot about a ten-minute walk away that won’t completely destroy your budget. The 9.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here… it’s not flashy or trying too hard, just really well-executed hospitality in a city where that’s surprisingly rare.

  Everything was perfect. The apartment is new and immaculately clean. Beds were very comfortable. Views from room balconies were spectacular. Hosts was very welcoming and helpful, left something for us to start our trip in style. We were family of 5 with 2 teenage boys and a younger girl. All of us enjoyed it so much. Walking distance to everything and old town. Hot tub was so clean and brilliant addition in the evenings. Thank you so much to hosts Nela and son Nico.

  Sehr schönes Appartement mit traumhaftem Blick. Wir wurden von den Eigentümern herzlich empfangen: uns wurde beim Tragen der Koffer geholfen, auf dem Esstisch standen Leckereien und eine Flasche Wein für uns und wir erhielten Empfehlungen für Unternehmungen während unseres Aufenthalts. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt, und es wurde uns sogar ein late-check-out ermöglicht.
