The building itself has that clean, modern Croatian coastal vibe, and you know what really caught my attention? There’s actual parking on site, which anyone who’s driven around Dubrovnik will tell you is basically like finding treasure.
Here’s the thing about where this place sits — you’re close enough to walk to the Old Town (maybe 15-20 minutes on foot), but far enough away that you’re not hearing tour groups at dawn. I mean, couples seem to really get this balance — they’ve rated the location 8.5 out of 10, and I can see why. You’ve got local cafes and shops within walking distance, plus you can actually get a decent night’s sleep. The neighborhood feels authentically Croatian rather than like a tourist bubble, which honestly makes the whole experience more genuine.
The apartment itself surprised me in the best way. It’s got this purple accent theme going on (hence the name, obviously), but it’s done tastefully — not like someone went crazy with a paint bucket. The space feels modern and well-maintained, with a functional kitchen that’s actually equipped for real cooking if you want to hit the local markets. The room setup works well whether you’re a couple or traveling with friends, and the whole place has this airy feel that’s perfect after spending hot days wandering around the city walls.
You know what really impressed me? The attention to practical details that matter when you’re actually staying somewhere. The WiFi works properly (not always a given in older Croatian buildings), the air conditioning keeps up with summer heat, and there’s enough storage space that you’re not living out of your suitcase. Plus, having that private parking means you can easily do day trips along the coast — Cavtat, the Pelješac Peninsula, wherever — without worrying about finding a spot when you get back.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Purple. It met all my family's needs, both within the hotel and beyond. The location was perfect, with the bus station, bakery, supermarket, and several great restaurants all just a short walk away. I couldn't have asked for a more convenient and comfortable experience!
Property was very comfortable to stay. On top of it I would say the host Anita is a wonderful person. She has gone beyond to help us in case of sort of emergency situation and we didn’t feel alone because of her. A big thank you to Anita.
What could be improved: The only thing was construction around the property which no one can control. However window can be kept closed to avoid that noise.
The apartment was beautiful, spacious, clean and very comfortable.
What could be improved: The walking distance from the Old City was a bit far but as there are buses available this was a minor inconvenience.

Location in relation to old town, within walking distance. Car Parking on site. Plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
Host provide lots of local information. The apartment was very clean and well equipped for our 2 night stay.
Anita was wonderful to deal with. We arrived before our official check-in time and she was at the apartment with the key to meet us. The apartment is about 20 mins walk from the bus station, half way between the port and the Old Town.
There's a bakery nearby, together with a supermarket and a restaurant, and there's a little bar next door. The apartment had everything we needed and more - aircon, constant hot water, shampoo, conditioner, coffee, tea and every cleaning product imaginable. The balcony is narrow but the weather was so hot we didn't stay in the sun too long!
My husband hurt his back during our week-long stay and I asked Anita whether she could recommend a chiropractor. She sent us to the gym right across the road and he went for 2 sessions of physio there.
The apartment is in a very safe area. 100% recommended.
What could be improved: Loved everything, absolutely faultless.
It is big and comfortable
Clean, modern apartment with everything we needed, close to old town, close to bus route and shops and restaurants. Spare blankets in the cupboard, Met by the owner upon arrival (good communication beforehand too) ... lots of tips and info given before we started off. Lovely. Would 100% stay again. Pizza/pasta restaurant just down a little was amazing!!
What could be improved: Nothing. It was perfect.
The apartment is great. We had everything we needed. Anita and Stjepo are great hosts, they were there for everything we needed. I recommend!
We had a very pleasant stay at Purple Magic. Very close to the old town and also to supermarkets and restaurants. Facilities at the apartment were very good and well maintained. The host Anita was helpful, always available in case we had questions and was gracious enough to agree to a late check out since we had to take some meetings. Would highly recommend this place for a stay.
