The check-in process was refreshingly human – no complicated key codes or impersonal instructions, just real people who clearly care about the place and want you to enjoy it. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the apartment, the hot water is reliable, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing when you turn it on. These things matter when you’re trying to relax.

Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places in Croatia, and this one just gets the balance right. It’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but it’s thoughtfully set up and genuinely comfortable.
