Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Apartment Majestic” I was expecting something a bit… well, pretentious. But this place on Lazarina street actually lives up to its name without being stuffy about it. You’re right in Ploce, which honestly is one of those neighborhoods that feels more like where actual Dubrovnik residents live rather than just another tourist trap. I mean, you can still walk to the Old Town walls in about ten minutes, but you’re not dealing with that constant stream of cruise ship crowds right outside your door.

The apartment itself – and it really does feel like staying in someone’s thoughtfully designed home rather than a sterile hotel room – has this perfect balance of being polished but not intimidating. The kitchen actually works (you know how rare that is in vacation rentals), and there’s something satisfying about being able to grab coffee and pastries from the little bakery down the street and make breakfast while looking out at the morning light hitting the Adriatic. The whole setup makes you feel like you’re living in Dubrovnik rather than just visiting it. What really got me though was the attention to details that matter when you’re actually staying somewhere for more than a night – proper blackout curtains, enough outlets near the bed, a shower with actual water pressure. The kind of stuff that makes you realize someone who travels a lot designed this space.

The location thing is interesting because you’re sort of in this sweet spot where you can walk to Banje Beach in one direction (maybe five minutes if you’re not rushing), but you can also head the other way toward the cable car station without feeling like you’re trekking across the city. During the day, the neighborhood has this nice residential buzz – you’ll hear kids playing, maybe someone’s radio drifting from a balcony, normal life sounds that remind you this isn’t just a theme park version of Croatia. Evenings are pretty quiet, which after a day of navigating the packed streets around Stradun, feels like exactly what you need. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak season (aren’t we all just accepting that’s part of the Dubrovnik experience at this point?), but the hosts seem to have figured out some local knowledge that makes it less of a headache than it could be. That 9.2 rating honestly makes sense – it’s the kind of place where you can tell someone put thought into making it work for real people, not just look good in photos.

  The location was very convenient, near the old city with a wonderful view of Lokrum Island. The apartment was well attended with amenities and clean, cosy and tastefully decorated. Would happily stay again.

  The view was stunning, facilities amazing, clean, tidy, modern, chic and comfortable. The host was sooo helpful and even checked in midweek to see if we needed anything. Honestly this property is worth every penny.

  everything about this stay was great. stunning view from the room, very clean and tidy, great location just above Banje beach and a few minutes walk to the city walls. yes there are steps but there are plenty of turn offs which aren't steep or you can just walk along the street and enter the old town that way.

  Quiet, well appointed, comfy bed, lovely washroom, great AC which was absolutely necessary, location, close to a beautiful swim spot & very close to Old Town.
  
  What could be improved: The outside upon arrival is a guessing game, the path enroute to the suite is unkempt, lots of trash around, so many stairs except we were fit enough that it didn’t bother us.

  Spacious place, immaculately clean and has everything you need for comfortable stay. 8 min walk to the old town. Easy to get to from the airport by the airport shuttle. Has AC in each room and a washer.
  
  What could be improved: the bathroom fan was a little noisy but once the light off the fan is off too so no problem.
