Great place for an overnight stay We were only in Old Town for one night and this was a perfect little apartment right in the centre of the action. Mishel greeted us on arrival and gave us some great suggestions for places to eat.
What could be improved: There's nowhere to store any luggage before/after your arrival - whilst there's a facility down the road to store your luggage, it's charged per item so it we ended up paying approx €25 for 4 hours of storage.
Also, there's a note in the apartment that shows the prices if booked direct - which is less than what we paid....so buy direct and save!

Apartment Mishel
You know what?
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Apartment Mishel when I first walked up to that narrow doorway on Antuninska – I mean, it’s tucked away on this quiet little street that most tourists completely miss. But honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the Pile Gate (the main entrance to Old Town), but somehow you’ve escaped all that chaos of people dragging suitcases over cobblestones at 7 AM. The building itself is one of those gorgeous stone Dubrovnik houses that’s probably been standing since the 1400s – thick walls that actually keep things cool in summer and, more importantly, block out the noise from the main thoroughfares.
What really got me about this place was how Mishel (yeah, that’s the actual owner’s name) has managed to blend modern comfort with authentic Croatian character. The apartment I stayed in had these beautiful original stone walls and wooden beams, but also – thank God – proper air conditioning and a kitchen that actually works. You’ll find yourself making coffee in the morning and planning your day while looking out at red-tiled rooftops instead of staring at some generic hotel lobby. And here’s something most people don’t think about until they’re there: parking in Dubrovnik is absolutely brutal, especially in Old Town where cars basically can’t go anyway. Mishel sorts this out for you, which honestly might be worth the stay alone if you’re driving down the coast. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that hovering-around-the-lobby-waiting-for-room-service vibe you get at bigger hotels.
I’ll be real with you – this isn’t the place if you want a pool or fancy spa treatments. But if you actually want to experience Dubrovnik like someone who lives here rather than just passing through on a cruise ship, this is it. You’re close enough to walk to Stradun (the main street) whenever you want, but far enough away that you can escape back to Antuninska when the crowds get overwhelming – which they will, especially if you’re there in July or August. The whole area around the apartment has this lived-in feel; you’ll see locals hanging laundry from windows and old guys playing cards in tiny cafes that don’t even have signs. Plus, and this matters more than you’d think, you’re positioned perfectly to catch those early morning or late evening moments when the light hits the city walls just right and suddenly you understand why everyone makes such a fuss about this place. That 9.5 rating isn’t just because it’s clean and comfortable – though it definitely is both – it’s because staying here feels like you’ve stumbled onto something authentic in a city that can sometimes feel like a beautiful museum.

What Our Guests Say
Amazing place centrally located with thoughtful host. Clean, comfortable and great amenities. They thought of everything you would need. Super close to the mail street in old town. They wonderfully helped with our luggage and arranging our airport shuttle.
Exceptional Incredible location, and lovely view from the window. Host was extremely helpful. Quiet spot and very comfortable

Amazing Conveniently located in the old town (Stari grad). The room was spacious and comfortable.
What could be improved: The following points need to be improved:
- The space to hang towels is small
- There was no instruction on how to use the washing machine. It didn't work well.
Great stay in Dubrovnik! Self catering, and plenty of choices round about for breakfast, lunches, coffees, dinner etc. Beds are very comfortable. Shower is super hot. Although we never met Senko, the owner, his communication pre our visit and during our visit was greatly appreciated. His son drove us from the airport and he arranged a friend to drive us back as he was unavailable. Both great drivers on busy, narrow, fast roads! The apartment is super central in such an amazing location in the old town. There's an easy bus service to go further out of town if desired. I would definitely recommend Senko's apartment if you plan to visit Dubrovnik.
Living in the heart of the old town is like living in history Right in the heart of the old town. Lots of steps to get to the building and once within but I knew that ...because it is right in the heart of the old town! The apartment had everything we needed and was comfortable. It's like living in a bit of history. Wonderful
Great stay! Great host, super location!
What could be improved: Lot of stairs, this is the top floor, where there is a sloping roof (sometimes you have to be careful not to hit your head)
Love the location in Old Town Dubrovnik ...excellent, responsive host. The host was exceptional....our flight got delayed for 6 hours and our host was waiting for us with an umbrella to escort us in the rain to the room when we got out of our taxi. Excellent communication and location. Very cute use of space in unit...highly reccomend.
What could be improved: Be prepared for climbing alot of stairs anywhere you walk in Old Town Dubrovnik!!!
Excellent Location and Great Apartment Amazing location! Right in the heart of the walled city. Cozy, comfortable, and very clean. Had all the amenities we needed, even sunscreen! Super happy to have a washing machine and drying rack. Was going to have dirty clothes laundered in Dubrovnik, but didn’t need to, which made my day.
Senko was very nice and showed us the apartment and places to go, restaurants to eat at. Great hospitality! Would definitely stay here again!
What could be improved: Just know that there are a lot of narrow stairs getting up to apartment. Best to pack light (never a bad idea in my opinion). Would be very difficult if you had a large suitcase. Luckily, we each had a carry on.
