This four-star property sits quietly on Nuncijata street, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better — you’re close enough to Dubrovnik’s Old Town to hear the evening buzz, but far enough away that you’ll actually get some sleep. The building itself has that understated Croatian elegance that doesn’t try too hard, which I really appreciate after staying in some of the more touristy spots around the city.
What struck me most about staying here was how it feels like you’re living in Dubrovnik rather than just visiting it. The apartments are spacious and thoughtfully designed — not cramped like some places I’ve tried in the old city center. You get proper kitchen facilities, which means you can actually cook with those amazing ingredients from the local markets (the one near Pile Gate is fantastic, by the way). The furnishings strike that perfect balance between modern comfort and local character, and the Wi-Fi actually works reliably, which isn’t always a given in this part of Croatia.
Here’s what the travel guides don’t tell you — having free private parking in Dubrovnik is basically like finding gold. I mean, trying to park near the Old Town during peak season can be a nightmare, and expensive too. From Apartment Pavlović, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Pile Gate, which sounds far but it’s actually perfect. You avoid the cruise ship crowds in the morning, and the walk takes you through some lovely residential streets where you’ll see how locals actually live. Plus, there’s a decent grocery store along the way, and a bakery that opens early if you’re the type who needs coffee before facing the world.
I can see why this place gets such high marks from couples — there’s something inherently romantic about having your own little Croatian hideaway. The apartments give you privacy and space to spread out, which is crucial when you’re traveling together (we all need our moments, right?). You can grab wine and cheese from the market, cook dinner together, then sit on your balcony planning the next day’s adventures. It’s that perfect mix of independence and intimacy that hotel rooms just can’t provide, especially when you’re exploring a city as enchanting as Dubrovnik.
With a 9.6 rating, this place clearly does something right, and after staying here, I get it. The Pavlović family (I assume they’re the owners) have created something that feels both professional and personal. You’re not just another tourist checking in — there’s genuine care in how everything is set up. The location rating of 8.3 speaks for itself, but what really matters is that you feel like you’ve found a proper base for exploring this incredible city. Whether you’re planning day trips along the coast or just want to wander the marble streets of the Old Town, you’ll come back to a place that actually feels like home.

The best place I have ever booked !!! Everything was perfect!!!
The apartment was very clean and cozy.
The beds were very comfortable, kitchen supplied with everything you need.
Our host was very nice and understanding, even though we arrived very late.
I recommend it with no doubts !!

Very clean, very comfortable and very well equipped in every way
It is a clean apartment with sea view and relaxing space on balcony. The room was very spacious and the bad very confortable. The kitchen very good equipped with anything you will have need if you are going to stay inside and cook or serve a meal at home. The host was so nice and explained to us how to get to the old town and the supermarket from that area. Definitely we will come back if we will stay in Dubrovnik.
Even it is only one AC in the living room, the temperature in the other rooms will be maintained if you close the balcony doors or the windows in the other rooms. And we must mention that we stayed in September and the temperaturee did not exceed 30 degrees. But it was perefct! The apartment looks like HOME, not like a place where you have to spend a few days, we felt very good while we were there.
What could be improved: The location maybe, it is a bit far from the old town and it's located on a hill, but if you arrive by car it's no problem and if you like sports the walk home will be a good cardio workout :d. For us it wasn't a problem.
Very comfortable apartment.. Anita lives downstairs and is a very helpful host. We had a second car and she when offered her sister's parking slot. Rooms and bathroom facilities were excellent. Great views from the street end including an outstanding sunset view point just 2 min down the street. Overall beautiful location overlooking the harbor.
What could be improved: Location difficult to find. Hint - ask for Apartment Dadic which is almost across the street. Old town is 10 min taxi ride but very convenient by Uber. Note that AC is available only in the living room and not in any bedroom. Most expensive stay during our vacation ... but that is Dubrovnik!
The apartment is a very good size, with 2 double & 1 king-size bed, all extremely comfy.
2 bathrooms with great showers and everything else you need.
Anita (the host) is very friendly, helpful & accommodating. We needed to switch dates and have a late check-in and a middle of the night check-out, all of which were no issue what so ever.
The apartment is in a good location to be able to get to all the places you will want to go but is at the top of an extremely steep hill and you will end up getting alot of ubers.
All in all the apartment country is amazing and me & my group will 100% use this property when we decide to come back.

Our host, Anita, was very helpful and attentive she met us at the door and showed us around the apartment which was very clean and had all necessary facilities. Was very easy to get to Old town Dubrovnik from Pavlovic apartments. The Tate charged was very low for this outstanding apartment where we spent 2 nights as 3 couples. Thank you Anita. We will definitely come back.

What could be improved: Its location quite uphill. Better take an uber. We did not know and end up walking till there.
