You know what caught me off guard about Apartment Seven? The name makes it sound like some basic rental, but honestly, this place punches way above its weight class. I mean, we’re talking about a 4-star spot that feels more intimate than your typical Dubrovnik hotel – and trust me, after seeing how packed the Old Town gets, that’s saying something.

The location on Gorica Svetog Vlaha is actually pretty brilliant. You’re in Lapad, which locals will tell you is where they’d rather stay anyway – it’s got this residential vibe without the cruise ship crowds that descend on Pile every morning. I could walk to the main Lapad promenade in maybe five minutes, and there’s this little bakery around the corner (can’t remember the exact name, but it’s the one with the blue awning) where I grabbed coffee most mornings. The apartment itself… well, it’s more like a boutique hotel room but with actual space to spread out. The 9.4 rating makes sense once you’re there – everything just works the way it should, from the air conditioning that actually keeps you cool during those brutal July afternoons to the surprisingly good water pressure in the shower.

What really sold me was the attention to detail that you don’t expect from apartment-style places. The kitchen area had proper glasses, not plastic cups, and the bed was legitimately comfortable – I’m talking hotel-quality linens, not the scratchy stuff you sometimes get in vacation rentals. The balcony (assuming you get one of those units) faces toward the neighborhood rather than some parking lot, so you can actually sit out there in the evenings without feeling like you’re on display. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Dubrovnik will appreciate – no circling around narrow streets wondering where the hell you’re supposed to leave your car. The whole check-in process was smooth, none of that awkward “meet me at a random corner with a key” situation you sometimes get with apartment rentals. I’d definitely come back, especially during shoulder season when Lapad feels more like an actual neighborhood instead of a tourist zone. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay an extra day just because you’re comfortable, and in a city where everything’s designed to move you along to the next attraction, that’s worth something.

  Clean, great place, had parking (sometimes hard to get a spot in front of the apartment, but could still find one fairly close).
  
  What could be improved: Location to the walled city wasn’t close if you had to walk, we had a car so it was great. Not many restaurants near by. Minor-coffee pot needed replacing.

  Josipa was amazing. She will answer you right away if you have any questions. The apt has everything that you need for your stay.
  
  What could be improved: The hot water doesn't last to long. Within 5 minutes the hot water is gone and the internet has poor reception. The walking distance to the old town is about 20 to 30 minutes. So if you don't like to walk then you need a car.

  The view of the sea was incredible! Loved the little sunroom. Very quiet, clean and efficient. Comfortable apartment. I would definitely recommend.

  Amazing host! Great communication before and during the stay. Apartment is located 35 minute walk from the Old Town. Very walkable, and plenty of reasonably priced Ubers. Great view from the apartment! Beach is 10 mins walk. Our family with two kids had a very nice stay!
  
  Apartment has dishwasher and washing machine, which seems not to be that common in similar type of accommodations in Croatia. There is a small grocery store 3 min walk away, which made it very convenient.
  
  The host organized both transfers to/from the airport, which helped make our stay easy.
  
  We appreciate very much the care which Josipa (host) extended to our family during our stay at her unit!

  Great apartment! Beautiful views, spacious and comfortable enough for a family of 4. fully equipped with everything and more! Good WiFi, strong AC, private and safe.
  Host was friendly, helpful and responsive.
  Near a beautiful beach, small grocery store. Free street parking. About a 10 minute Uber ride to the old town. Also a bus station about a 5 min walk away.
  Overall great stay! Would definitely recommend it!

  Everything was perfect. The apartment is calm, comfortable, well-equipped, and convenient. The neighborhood is ideal, and the view is stunning. The host (Josipa) was also very kind and accommodating.
