Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress from the outside. This apartment sits in one of those quiet Dubrovnik neighborhoods where locals actually live, just far enough from the tourist chaos but close enough that you can walk to the Old Town in about fifteen minutes.
The apartment is surprisingly spacious — I mean, you’re getting a proper living area, not just a cramped hotel room with barely enough space to open your suitcase. The kitchen is actually functional too, which is rare in vacation rentals. I ended up cooking breakfast a couple of mornings because, honestly, it felt nice to have that option. The whole place has this clean, modern feel without being sterile, and the air conditioning works perfectly (trust me, you’ll need it in summer).
Here’s what I really loved about the location — you get free parking right there, which is basically like finding gold in Dubrovnik. Most places in the Old Town area charge ridiculous amounts for parking, if they have it at all. From Sofia, you can walk down to Lapad Bay for a swim, grab groceries at the nearby Konzum, or catch a bus to the city center. The neighborhood has this authentic Croatian vibe where you’ll see families hanging laundry and kids playing in the streets.
The hosts are genuinely helpful — not in that overly formal hotel way, but like they actually want you to enjoy your stay. They gave me solid recommendations for a local restaurant that I never would have found otherwise (it’s called Orhan, by the way, and their seafood risotto is incredible). The WiFi is reliable, which matters if you need to stay connected, and the shower has proper water pressure. These might seem like small things, but they make a huge difference when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two.
Look, this isn’t a five-star resort with a spa and room service, but that’s exactly why it works so well. You get the independence of having your own space, the comfort of modern amenities, and the authenticity of staying in a real Croatian neighborhood. Couples seem to especially appreciate the privacy and the fact that you can actually relax here without feeling like you’re constantly “on vacation.” Plus, when you factor in the free parking and the ability to cook some of your own meals, it’s genuinely good value for money in a city where everything tourist-related costs a fortune.

There was everything necessary and even more,clean apartment.

The bus stop is located close to the sightseeing buses, as well as local buses to the old city.
Supermarkets are close.
The port has a large hypermarket Konzum.

Amazing View and Easy access to Dubrovnik Great communication from host and very easy public transportation and uber to the city! Pomegranates growing on the trees along your walk to the water, stunning view! Apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. Very well equipped kitchen. Loved staying a bit out of the touristy center and even got to experience a local street fair right down the street. Peaceful neighborhood.
What could be improved: Shower head could have been a little cleaner but the rest of the apartment was spotless.
We enjoyed our stay so much. We were within walking distance of the bus stop and grocery store. While the location tested our short legs each day LOL - the view from the balcony definitely made up for it 10 times over. Breathtaking is all I can say!
We stay at Sanja’s place. 10 mins away from old town . Host are very helpful and accomodating Property are very clean and view is amazing

Great location, away from the city husle with a superb view The location, the view, it was clean, close to bus station, had pretty much everything we needed. Cute, stylish apartment. Communication w Sanja was great, even though we didnt meet, we got all the directions.
