You know what caught me off guard about Rooms ANELA? It’s actually the terrace that sells the whole experience β I mean, sure, the name mentions it, but until you’re up there with that Adriatic spread out in front of you, you don’t really get it. The place sits on Lopudska street, which honestly isn’t the most glamorous address in Dubrovnik (you’re definitely not in the polished Old Town here), but that’s sort of the point. You get this incredible sea view without the tourist circus, and the terrace β well, it’s genuinely large enough that you won’t feel like you’re sharing breakfast with every other guest.
The rooms themselves are pretty straightforward, nothing fancy but clean and functional. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, especially compared to some of the places closer to Stradun where you’ve got people wandering around until all hours. The whole setup feels more like staying at someone’s well-kept guesthouse than a hotel, which works in its favor β the check-in was easy, parking wasn’t a nightmare (always a win in Dubrovnik), and you can actually walk to the main sights without needing a bus or taxi every time. Takes maybe 15-20 minutes to get to Pile Gate if you don’t mind a bit of uphill on the way back.
Here’s the thing about the 8.1 rating β it feels about right. This isn’t going to blow you away with luxury touches or concierge service, but it delivers on what matters: that view, a decent night’s sleep, and a location that gives you breathing room from the Old Town crowds while keeping you close enough to dive in when you want to. The terrace really is the star here, especially if you’re there during shoulder season when the weather’s still good but the summer masses have cleared out. I actually found myself spending more time up there than I expected, just because it’s such a nice spot to decompress after walking those stone streets all day. For a 3-star place, it punches above its weight in the things that actually matter when you’re exploring Dubrovnik.

Exceptional Zijo was great
He wait us till in 03:00 in the morning to do check in. Helps us to find parking for the car. He was so great person and the room was perfect .

Perfect place to stay in Dubrovnik The localisation near the main bus station and not that far from the city center.
The view from the apartment is stunning and last but not least: the kindness of the owner, we arrived at 11:30 pm and he welcomed us in person, gave us plenty of advice about what to visit, where to eat, etc. We will come back without any doubt and we warmly recommend you to meet someone like him.

What could be improved: Climbing all the way up. But all Dubrovnik is hilly, make sure you have comfy shoes.

What could be improved: Apartment was shared with another couple not made clear at the time of booking.
Superb Large terrace, helpful host who picked us up from the bus station when we arrived very late. Everything was very clean.
What could be improved: I would only suggest to have some olive oil, salt, and pepper for cooking because people don't travel with this.
Dubrovnik is an amazing place and this apartment was a great place to stay. It is a large apartment with fabulous views from the balcony. If I had wished to cook, everything I needed would have been available. Zijo, the host gave me excellent information about how to get around and had brochures and a map available.
Zijo also made sure that I was aware I might have to share the apartment. My bedroom and bathroom were able to look. As it turned out, I had the apartment to myself.
What could be improved: I booked this apartment because it was close to the bus station. It is, but it is up a hill and there are steps. So it is not walkable with luggage. There is a bus though, which stops nearby. The host will provide that information.

What could be improved: Bit old facility need some refreshments on hall doors and bathroom. Room was nice and clean. Good value for 3 nights.
