Apartment Solvit – Three Bedroom Apartment with Terrace
So I've stayed at Apartment Solvit a few times now, and honestly?
So I’ve stayed at Apartment Solvit a few times now, and honestly? It’s one of those places that just gets everything right. The three-bedroom setup is perfect if you’re traveling with family or friends – I mean, you actually get space to spread out instead of bumping into each other like you would in most hotel rooms. But what really sold me was that terrace. You know how most apartment terraces are just afterthoughts with plastic furniture? Not this one. It’s got this view that… well, let’s just say your morning coffee hits different when you’re looking out over Dubrovnik’s red rooftops.
The location is what locals call “perfectly positioned” – close enough to walk into the Old Town (about 15 minutes if you don’t mind the hills), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at all hours. I’ve learned the hard way that staying right in Stradun can be brutal during peak season. Here, you get the real Dubrovnik experience without the tourist chaos. The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home, not some sterile rental – there are books on the shelves, decent kitchen equipment (I’m talking real knives and pans that aren’t warped), and the Wi-Fi actually works from every room. Small thing, but the shower pressure is fantastic, which you don’t always get in older Croatian buildings.
What I really appreciate is how the owners handle things. Check-in was smooth – no waiting around or confusion about keys. They left local recommendations that were actually useful, not just the usual tourist traps. The building is quiet at night, which is huge if you’re trying to recover from walking Dubrovnik’s stone streets all day. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area (honestly, it’s tricky everywhere in Dubrovnik), but they give you solid directions to nearby spots. I’ve stayed here in both shoulder season and summer, and while summer gets busy like everywhere else in the city, the terrace becomes your private escape. You can grab some peka from the restaurant down the street and eat it outside while watching the sunset paint the Adriatic gold. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to hang out instead of just crashing for the night.
