Apartment Solvit
Look, I'll be honest - when I first saw the address on Baltazara Bogošića, I had to double-check my booking because it felt almost too residential to be real.
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the address on Baltazara Bogošića, I had to double-check my booking because it felt almost too residential to be real. But that’s exactly what makes Apartment Solvit so brilliant. You’re staying in an actual neighborhood where locals grab their morning coffee, not some touristy bubble. The building itself is this lovely stone structure that somehow manages to feel both historic and perfectly maintained – you know how tricky that balance can be in Dubrovnik. Walking up to it, I was struck by how quiet this little street is, especially considering you’re maybe a 12-minute walk from the Old Town chaos. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward (none of that awkward lobby hovering), and honestly, the moment I stepped inside, I got why this place has such a crazy-good rating.
The apartment itself… well, it’s one of those spaces that photographs could never quite capture. Everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than just functional – like someone actually lives here and cares about details. The kitchen is properly equipped (I mean, you can actually cook a real meal if you want), and the bathroom has that perfect water pressure that makes you want to stay in the shower forever. What really got me though was the little balcony – nothing fancy, but you can sit there in the evening with a glass of wine and watch the neighborhood come alive. The Wi-Fi is solid, the air conditioning works without sounding like a jet engine, and the bed is genuinely comfortable (not that firm hotel mattress thing that leaves you wondering if you slept at all).
Here’s what I wish someone had told me before I booked: this area gets beautifully quiet at night, which is gold if you’re trying to recover from walking Dubrovnik’s marble streets all day. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle – there’s street parking nearby, but you’ll want to ask the hosts about the best spots because locals know things that Google Maps definitely doesn’t. The nearest grocery store is maybe a 5-minute walk down toward Gruž, and there’s this little bakery that opens stupidly early if you’re the type who needs proper bread with breakfast. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra night because leaving felt wrong somehow – it’s that kind of place where you settle in and suddenly realize you’re not just visiting Dubrovnik, you’re sort of living there for a while. For a 3-star place, it punches way above its weight, and that 9.5 rating isn’t some fluke – it’s just genuinely well-run and welcoming.

What Our Guests Say
Excellent apartment in a great location The location was great, 10 min walk from the Old Town but had local amenities nearby by. Handy for pickup on coach trips and for Ubers
Extremely clean and well maintained with every amenity you could need for an extended stay.
Had a lovely balcony and within a locked courtyard making it feel really safe.
What could be improved: Nothing we disliked, but the steps up to the first floor apartment might be a consideration for some
Exceptional The apartment is very spacious and beds comfortable. Short walk down to the old town. The host was super friendly. Good parking place for the car. Would stay there again.
What could be improved: Nothing I didn't like
Great apartment The apartment was big, we got a welcome pack, it was only 15 minutes to the old town. Also the private parking was great. Each room has its own large television. We enjoyed it very much.
What could be improved: Nothing
Perfect family apartment near Old Town Dubrovnik Great location, about 10-15 minutes walking distance to Old Town. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Free private parking. The manager was very friendly and helpful, even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy.
What could be improved: The second bathroom was very small so felt cramped if you are tall or a bigger person.
Very good close to city of split
Exceptional Arijana was very nice, friendly, and helpful. She informed us some tourist spots and nice restaurants.
Very good Location was great and the personal welcome was appreciated.
What could be improved: Nothing really, only one room without air-conditioning.
Beautiful apartment close to old town, easy to get to by car. Highly recommend! Amazing location close to the old town, Spacious apartment for 5 people, incl 2 bathrooms and nice living room. Own parking lot so need to find parking. An added plus was the close proximaty to the highway so easy to drive in and out of Dubrovnik
