It’s tucked into this quiet residential street in Lapad, and when the afternoon sun hits those windows, the whole space just lights up in this warm, golden way that makes you want to grab a coffee and settle in for hours.

The free parking thing is mentioned right in the name, and I mean, if you’ve ever tried to park in Dubrovnik proper, you’ll understand why they lead with that. It’s not some cramped spot either – there’s actually decent space, and you’re not doing that awkward dance trying to squeeze between two cars. The location in Lapad is sort of perfect if you ask me. You’re about a 15-minute walk from the old town walls, but far enough out that you escape the cruise ship crowds and can actually hear yourself think. There’s this lovely coastal path that runs along the water – locals use it for their evening strolls, and honestly, it’s one of those simple pleasures that makes a trip memorable.

Inside, the apartment feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental. The kitchen is properly equipped (I’m talking real knives, not those useless dull things), and there’s this little balcony where you can sit with your morning coffee and watch the neighborhood wake up. The bathroom has decent water pressure – trust me, after a day of climbing those ancient stone steps, you’ll appreciate a proper shower. What really gets me is the attention to small details: good WiFi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, blackout curtains that actually work, and outlets where you need them. The air conditioning runs quietly too, which matters when you’re trying to sleep and it’s still 25 degrees at midnight in August.

The area itself has this lived-in feel that I love. There’s a little grocery store about three minutes away where the owner will remember your face by day three, and this bakery that opens early enough to grab fresh pastries before heading out for the day. The bus stop is right there if you don’t feel like walking, and the buses run frequently enough that you’re not checking your watch constantly.

I’ll be honest – it’s not beachfront, so if you’re someone who needs to roll out of bed onto sand, this might not be your spot. But there’s something to be said for staying where actual people live, you know? You get a sense of how the city breathes beyond the tourist zones. Plus, that 9.8 rating isn’t just good luck – it’s the kind of place where everything works like it should, the host responds to messages, and you’re not discovering unpleasant surprises.   The Sunny Bay Apartment was a perfect choice for family of 4 or five. 2 rooms with bathroom and spacious saloon and full kitchen that makes you wanna cook and I have acutely did 🤣. It has a balcony and also you cab dry your clothes there. The Location is close to sunset beach and also restaurants road and blue cave. A parking available for free which makes it easy to go around. Matea is very helpful and responded to all of my quires. I am glad that we have booked this place for short vacation and will book again if we will travel back. Thank you again and god bless.

  Spacious, clean, lots of cupboard space- great to unpack and wash our clothes after being on the go. Location was fantastic- Close to beach, promenade and restaurant strip.

  I loved everything about this apartment. It was nice that it had an extra toilet and washing machine. It was very close to the beach, lots of restaurants nearby and also very close to a taxi stand and bus stop which made it easy to go to old town.
  
  What could be improved: Not having an elevator. So if you have more luggage and older people it would be tough to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs. But that’s the case with most apartments in Dubrovnik….

  El apartamento es perfecto. Todo estaba súper nuevo y muy muy limpio. La cocina está muy bien equipada. Dispone de aire acondicionado en todas las habitaciones y en el comedor, completamente necesario para los calurosos días de Dubrovnik, es ideal. También consta de un baño principal y de un segundo baño, cosa que nos fue muy bien. Por otro lado también tiene plaza de parking. La ubicación es muy buena y a menos de tres minutos andando hay un supermercado grande y varios restaurantes. En resumen es el mejor apartamento en el que alojarse en Dubrovnik, estarás de suerte si puedes reservarlo. Por último hacer una mención especial al anfitrión, al irnos nos dejamos olvidado sin darnos cuenta un reloj, nos llamó para avisarnos de ello pero no pudimos recogerlo porque ya volábamos de regreso, y nos lo hizo llegar a España enseguida. Un 10 para él y para el alojamiento.

  Apartman je smešten u mirnu rezidencijalnu ulicu koja se nalazi u blizini obale, kao i nekoliko prodavnica za snabdevanje. U apartmanu je noću tišina, bez ikakvih primesa buke. Dvostrano je orijentisan i zbog toga veoma svetao. Jedan deo dana je okupan suncem, ali i odlično klimatizovan (sa čak četiri uređaja). Prostran je, lepo namešten i izuzetno opremljen.
